How many LI's do you pursue in a single game?

I do like see the jealousy scenes or dialogue, though, so I will half heartedly pursue other romances. But that's usually only once. Most of the time, I turn everyone I don't want down right away and just go after one person.

In a single (as in entire) game? I try all the options that are available at least once - with different characters, though. With Mass Effect I always stayed with the LI my characters had in ME1 and created new characters to try the ones that were only available in ME2.

My first Warden was a complete fiend. He romanced all three that he could, and went to the Pearl like.. every hour.

Yup. Me too.SebastianDA wrote...

I don't think I'm going to pursue any romance option in DA2 though. None of the companions interest me. Aveline isn't meant for my Hawke. But that's ok. I'm obsessive to hurt Varric as much as possible.

I was gratified that the DLC acknowledges both relationships if you have them, too. Still, the end of Witch Hunt was sad, since there really is no way to have your cake and eat it. I decided that my obligations and my love for my sweetheart Leliana would keep me in Thedas; had I romanced only Morrigan I would likely have gone with her, but it was not to be. Goodbye was very bittersweet. Hope I get to see her again, sometime...

I flirt with everyone I can, before I'm faced with the 'forked road' decision. It's just funny watching your teammates bash heads and get all catty over you.
Only Bioware game I recall this happening in was Baldur's Gate 2. . .

Actually, it happened in DA:O, too. If you played Leliana and Morrigan, they'd fight over you in banter conversations.

No they didn't, they removed those banter conversations. You had to readd them with a mod or something.
Or crappy console port version, I dunno.

No, there are some intact cat-fight conversations; here's one of the in-game ones, without the restoration mod:Harid wrote...

Check at 3:33. It's not as extreme as the restored ones, but it's still chuckle-worthy to see Morrigan get all huffy. There's a follow-up for it, too, if you continue playing the angles with Leliana and Morrigan; but I couldn't find it on youtube. It's a smidge cattier than that one. There's also another if you leave Morrigan for Leliana, where Leliana taunts Morrigan about it.

I was just curious: how many Love Interests do you typically pursue in any playthrough?
I personally always try to only pursue one, and stay faithful to that one the entire game and try to turn down everyone else. But IRL I never liked "playing the field" and usually only seriously dated one person at a time.
Was just curious if others decisions mirror how they would act in real life or if other considerations (like earning achievements) is more a factor.
Just the one. I don't take acheivements into consideration about anything. In fact, there are acheivements that I don't want to get. My PCs would probably flirt more casually before starting an in-game romance if I didn't know from experience that the mildest flirting tends to be taken very seriously by the LIs, leading to uncomfortable situations. So no flirting at all unless my PCs really mean it, and then only with one.
If that romance ends, well, that's it for romance in that game, most likely.

I prefer to pursue the story.
Meaning my Hawke only gets involved with the LI if/when it is serves a purpose. For example a relief after a dramatic event, etc.
