Would you agree to this financial proposition?

For instance, if someone you know asked you this question, and you know that they would pay you back (and pay you all of the interest), would you agree to this business proposition?  Also, assume that you had the money to give the person.  I am asking some people I know this, because I really need $50 so I can get Dragon Age: Origins for the Xbox 360, and I really want that game.  Here is the proposition:
"Could you loan me $50 with 2% interest on half of it each week with a grace period until the end of the month?"

Uh, is this some kind of rhetorical rant thread?

2% interest rate is extremely tiny. 50 bucks won't really raise that quickly. I suggest it'd almost be eaiser to not eat for a month.

depends on when you intend to pay back, that proposition would only be worth it if you wernt paying me back till 2015. Then again if they are FRIENDS it shouldnt be an issue if your just borrowing it for a few weeks, my mates would lend me the cash, Infact my mates are buying me the game just so i can play along side them (gotta love working in a gaming rigged up lab). So yea really your friends, if your a good friend then, they should just loan minus the additional "interest" crap

If i were a friend of course i would, without the interest necessary. I'd probably suggest working and raising the money yourself to buy the game, since you will need to raise the cash anyway to repay it.

Yup, $8 an hour minimum wage would just be about 6+ hours of work, easily completed in a week. Assuming you have a steady job or even know of part-time work that you can take on, anyhow.

And maybe it's the company I mix with (broke college students and all) but I would never expect my friends to lend me money just like that without asking what it was for, or even lend me $50 without questioning if and when I'd be able to pay them back. Sounds cold, but it's good training in learning to be able to pay for what you can afford instead of surviving on credit IMHO.

I don't think any of my friends would borrow me money because I have way more money than they do.
