Maybe the amulet gives plot powers to both Hawke siblings, depending on which one is which class.
I hope it's not like that. I am dying to troll Carver with my PHENOMENAL COSMIC POWER.
Hawke: "I have a kickass amulet, and you don't, me-ow!" *dances*
Carver: *Rivalry +50*

Interesting, thank you for posting this.
I was wondering, do you whereabouts will the demo finish in regard to your list? Before you run into Varric and Anders, perhaps? Or as soon as Hawke reaches Kirkwall?
We see the opening prologue, and then I heard that it skips to meeting Isabela and doing her quest.

[*]Middle choice is sarcastic (we knew that), which led to Hawke asking Flemeth if she can teach him to be a dragon like a smart-ass. For those riveted to their seats at my entertaining summation, she says no. He also jokes later that Kirkwall "isn't brown enough for me".
Oh, Bioware. <3
Also, hooray for Walking Bomb! Now all we need is Mana Clash...

I hope Hawke gets the option to *facepalm* at that. You're in the Blightlands, surrounded by darkspawn, and you try to apprehend the first mage you see? Why ****** off the walking piece of artillery when you could befriend it?

I'm nervous about the Hawke being a different person thing. It better not involve possession. Because my Hawke isnt sharing his body with anyone.
Been there, done that with the Spirit Eater in MotB. I don't care for a repeat.

I can't wait to see the range of reactions Hawke can have in this scenario. I'm assuming that Wesley tries to apprehend mage Hawke as well... Just try it, Templar.

It'd explain why Hawke would then be completely driven to take power over Kirkwall after year one.

ha ha, well I was thinking it had something to do with the demon hand finisher Bethany seems to possess along with Hawke. We haven't seen any Merrill or Anders gameplay to see if they can do it too, I think.
The fact that one of the Hawkes is always an apostate seems to play an important role in the story, maybe the mage Hawke (whether Bethany or the PC) having this power is also part of that. Of course that would steal your warrior/rogue Hawke's thunder if s/he didn't also get something out of it.

how long is this game again?
The PCGamer review and Laidlaw's live chat said it' 50 hours on average, although I presume your mileage may vary.

I'm almost certain the giant hands of doom are what happens if you finish off an enemy with Crushing Prison.

Yeah, I remember that Priestly said something of that variety after the Destiny trailer. It is probably a special finisher though, akin to decapitation, as the revenant in the class trailer seemed to die from crushing prison too.
Maybe it is a modification that allows it?

Embarassed to admit it, but I've managed to miss these 'giant hands of doom'... unless it's the ripping a qunari in half trick from the trailer... could anyone point me at a vid that shows them?

Fun fact I'm surprised so many people miss. Those hands aren't demons. They're Hawke's made bigger.Filament wrote...
