The jesus analogy is flawed to compare in this situation. Simply because of the accurate historical images of Jesus followers. If one can accurately describe Peter and John, one should have no problem at all to get realistic image of Jesus. As you can see, Cassandra has all the companions accurate images but leave Hawke's image as blank.

I'm not intrigued by default Hawke in the intro. I just don't see the reason for doing so, when we are allowed to customize our gender and class before the intro.

On the contrary I think the Jesus analogy was spot on, I just have trouble imagining how one might find accurate historical images from 2000 years ago.

That's the point. No one can.

But this is not the case in Hawke Legend. Cassandra has every realistic  images of Hawke's companions.

So after 5 hour of gameplay, there's still no explanation why, in the beginning of the game, Cassandra having problem getting accurate image of this legendary Hawke. Judging from all the things that Hawke could have done, Hawke isn't as mysterious as a ghost that no one can remember.

I'm beginning to suspect, the first few minutes in the game, is meant to get the player into combat as soon as possible and it's been exaggerated by Varric to give the impression that he's reluctant narrator, regardless of any logical explanation for using default Hawke. Cassandra does knows how Hawke look just as she knows much about the rest of the companions.

EDIT: Oh, I see. You're talking about physically.

You're seeing the idea of Hawke in those first ten minutes, not the real him. How he actually looks is irrelevant. He's a mighty, imposing warrior, and the picture Varric paints is of that. Not of a weaselly looking guy with a Howe nose, a receding hairline, and beady eyes.

Hawke is the big hero. Not the companions.

Name some big hero from ten years ago and watch me go on and on about how little I know about him, besides the thing he's most famous for.

Cassandra wants to know why Hawke did the things he did. You'll remember the first line Cassandra has is "Bull----, that's not what really happened!" She knows (most of) what happened. She wants to know who Hawke is as a person.

Yes that is why, I mention earlier, regardless of any logical explanation for using default Hawke in the first few minutes of the game.

Yes. It has all the companions images but leave Hawke as blank. I find that's strange considering Hawke is the leader.

Maybe that's the "these are the cohorts" page. Seems pretty clear to me.

Yes, well not everything fits together nicely, maybe when that scene was created they still wanted the player to be invested in the idea of their own Hawke, then at a later date (or possibly an earlier date, production schedule dependant) they became enamoured with the idea of a legendary Hawke appearance of myth and what not and the difference was not picked up on.

Also it would also require two scenes for both male and female Hawke.

Edited for unusual capitalisation.

It's only a tea ceremony.

Hawke is changed only so much as he now has a slight penchant for Lapsang Souchong.

I'm really starting to think I'm not going to like Carver. And I only play mages. :(

Indeed, they are only having English-afternoon tea party at the mountain top.

And a Old God baby is born.<_<

So Hawke waits a whole year before bringing the amulet to the Dalish? WORST COURIER EVER.

Now I'm very curious about what the ritual does to make Hawke different. Perhaps it's connected to having only one mage in the family? And whatever happens, happens to Bethany if she's still alive? Hmm...

At least they don't get shot in the head, burried in a shallow grave, dug up by a robot; and then spend ages chasing some gimp across a desert, finding the item they were supposed to deliver, then kill the resipient and TAKE OVER THE WORLD!

The big thing that annoys me about playing the default Hawke in the intro is that I'm going to have to wade through that thing every time I want to play with the character creator. That really irked me with ME2.
