The Foundry screenshot has the same NPC model two times in the same area.

A small request for the devs - if possible, could we get a screenshot from a Dx10.1 GPU? I remember a while back someone from the dev team said that Dx10 cards will also gain a few minor things over Dx9, but it seems from the blog that it's either Dx9 or Dx11 for the highest end PCs... :/
DX11 is backwards compatible, so by offering DX11 screenshots in part 2 they're showing you what the game will look like on DX10, of course not all the features of DX11 are available on DX10 but it'd give you a general idea of how it'll look like.
This is a whole side of you I didn't know existed, Vi.
Comes with being an avid PC gamer I guess

Is this Hawke's Ancestral Home, before he has the money to start fixing it back up to it's former glory?

Oh man, you don't know Kirkwall then... there's a Calvin Klein store around the corner

They're not exactly the same. I'm sure there were a lot of generic outfits in the Middle Ages anyway.Catsith wrote...
I dunno.... compared to other upcoming RPGs, this still looks really outdated. Hell, even compared to DA:O it looks bland. I don't think it looks terrible by any means, but I was expecting more eye candy and better textures.... also there's two of the exact same NPCs in one of those shots. Come on, Bioware....
I'm sure there aren't a ton of hoodie shops to choose from in Kirkwall.

I guess so, there's furniture on the floor and spider webs on the walls.

Clearly the bartender is the mysterious son of Fiona and Maric, and the true heir to the throne of Ferelden
In one of the the endings for Dragon Age Alistair does become a drunk....

Can't wait to fill that house up with TREASURE. shiny treasure.
One of the best points about Fable 3. The literal pile of money you assembled.

Don't try to read too much into it, he also said "almost", because if the recommended GFX card is a 8800 GTS I doubt X360 and PS3 GFX cards can handle that kind of detail but again they might optimize textures, shadows and lighting to use less resources while still giving an overall similar visuals.

Alternatively, this is as high as it goes and console version is somewhat less detailed.Blacklash93 wrote...

There's good detail on some things, but a few of the textures (especially outdoors) are pretty blurry. That's why I'm suspecting (or hoping) the settings may be down just a little.ViSeirA wrote...

If I'm wrong, it's still nothing texture mods couldn't easily fix.

Looks okay. There's quite a few blurry textures, though.
Better a few blurry texture in a defined and well designed space, then an all-high-res game in 20gb with obnoxious loading times.
Try Crysis to believe

This is one of the few moments a still shot from a game did directly evoke smell, taste and sense of temperature.
I was a lot like being there, feeling the warmth of the fire, the coldness in the hall with its high ceiling, the smell of rust and wood and smoke.
It just feels much more real than many locations I've seen in games so far.
Edit / Quoting for convenience:
