And Why the hell would he make a better Illusive man then Martin Sheen?

I agree, Martin Sheen is far superior since he also voiced Illusive Man and they look same since he is 3D scan of Illusive Man.

I approve...Douglas fits the visual of TIM better than Martin Sheen.

Martin Sheen is too robust and not high enough. Douglas has almost the same body and the face shape is practically identical. Also, Douglas has a very similar voice so the feel of TIM wouldn't be lost.

As good as that idea is (sarcasm)

Martin Sheen has TIM's voice
TIM is the digital 3-D of Martin Sheen
You get the feel of TIM because it is TIM

Both of these actors have amazing voices and natural charisma. If Michael Douglas is young enough to play the part though then they would be as well just having sheen do it again on screen as there probably isn't even 10 years between them. If anyone reading this hasn't seen the original Wall Street, watch it now to see both these guys on awesome form. I would be happy with either if a movie was made.

I wouldn't get the feel of TIM if it was Martin Sheen.

Michael Douglas could probably do a magnificent job of playing TIM if it weren't for the fact that Martin Sheen is the Illusive Man. Having another another actor play him would simply undo TIM as a character.

I disagree. Douglas would be a better TIM. Phisically and I prefer he's acting then Sheen's. Phisically, Martin isn't compatible.

I agree. Martin Sheen's voice was a great fit for TIM, but he's not that imposing on-screen. Michael Douglas is imposing, he has similar hair, he has the same suave demeanor and can easily pull off ruthless characters... and simply being the model and voice actor for a character doesn't make you that fit to play that character in a live-action film, really. It's all about representation.

Personally, I don't see as much of a similarity to Martin Sheen as some others do. Do we even know that Martin Sheen was the face model for TIM?

People assume this because of Liara's, Samara's and Miranda's voice actors. It may, or not be true for all. Tali's looks mexican..... so.........

It's not a question of who fits the concept better or who looks more like the in-game character or anything like that. It's like asking if Tom Selleck (or anyone else) would have been a better Indiana Jones than Harrison Ford. Maybe, maybe not. That's not the issue. Harrison Ford is Indiana Jones forever (at least to me), and nothing will change that. If someone else ever plays him, I'll regard that as a completely different character. Same thing with TIM. If someone else than Sheen plays him, the character will just become another meaningless collection of attributes like James Bond.

How about you stop to ignore that Illusive Man is 3D scanned of Martin Sheen.

@thread title: Nope.

Ultimately, if I were to go with an actor who is younger than Martin Sheen, but can produce the same quality of product, I'd go with Colm Feore. He's got a different look, but I think he could pull off the character nicely.
