I'd rather have the option between being an old god or an old god than between being an elf, human or dwarf. :D
Also, god souls do funny things with genes sometimes, especially shapeshifty genes mixed with elf, human or dwarf genes and a sprinkle of taint. ;)

Funny things like....Sheogorath

Cheese for everyone!

hmm if Morrigan is the big bad, doubt I'll buy it tbh, strange to be that attached to a bunch of pixels, but of all the characters she is the one I want back in the sequel the most, the story between her and my character is involved for me to ever want to kill her.

I 100% concur. I can't bring myself to kill her.
And yes I think Flemeth will play a big role in the sequel. It was she who planned the transfer of the old God's spirit into a grey warden's offspring.

Although it would be kinda cool if the characters contnue ofc, if at the final battle (if she is the big bad) you had the 'I told you I would find you, and that I would always protect you' *murders allies to save Morrigan* option

Wouldn't it be enough to... You know... Just tell your allies to stand down? Does it HAVE to be murder? :P

Well, if the guys insist on the "killing the witch-mother that turned your demonspawn against all of civilization, why can't you ever keep your pants on?" part, I assume they'll have a good reason. ;)

I think that you're probably right about Flemmeth.

I think that the reason why Morrigan wanted that baby at the end was not to save you, but to save herself.

She wanted to figure out a way to stop Flemmeth from taking her body. What better way then to offer her a vessel that would be more powerful than herself?

A baby with the essence of an old god would be a perfect vessel, now wouldn't it?

This is the spoiler's forum, so I'm going to put in a spoiler.

I did not actually read this until the beginning of my 2nd playthrough. There's a codex entry you pick up in the Tower of

Magi when you're first exploring with a mage Origin. It describes the 7 Old Gods, and that 4 of them have been Archdemons. So the current Arch demon is the 5th.

Continuing on this train of thought....

Do you believe it is a coincidence that Flemeth shapeshifts into a dragon form, and the Archdemon is a dragon? Or perhaps let's rephrase that...Flemeth shapeshifts into human form....to fool you and other humans...but her actual form is...

Now once you "kill" flemeth...there's Morrigan... who is a master shapeshifter. Hmmmm......

Who wants the child of a Grey Warden to be raised as an "Old God". A child that is immune to the Grey Warden's final blow..that wouldn't kill it? Or something. Haven't thought that part out yet.

When you kill Flemeth, does she inhabit Morrigan at that instant? Think about it, Morrigan can't go with you. But she could be there. She's known for hiding and being unseen. She could be an ant, for all you know.

So Morrigan is really Flemeth after you kill Flemeth, and she is going to be the Archdemon's mother. Or maybe she's always been the Archdemon's mother.

It's just that this time (now I'm speculating) she figures she has a real chance to get a Grey Warden blood "old god."
Now think of this too. 4 old gods out of 7 have been slain as archdemons. the 5th one is killed in this game. The 6th one is next game, and the 7th is the final. A trilogy.

A weaver's intrigue. Those were my thoughts.

Origins are about the origins of the blight. In the end, if you don't take her deal, she leaves--she's not dead.

Somehow Flemeth and the archdemon are directly related.

It's quite likely they will continue with her and the PC. The game ends by saying "it's not the last we're heard of blahblahblah" and it's been said multiple times on these forums that Morrigan's story isn't finished. It makes total sense for the PC to find her, whether that is because he is looking for his lost love, wants his kid, or wants to kill her.

I wonder if we'll even face a Blight in the sequel. Remember, the previous blight was 400 years ago. To have another blight within 10-30 years (so that Morrigan wont be too old, or so that we could play the god baby, or so that we could continue as the Grey Warden going to his Calling) just seems like it'd be something the lore would be opposed to.

I could, however, see us making a preemptive attack on the darkspawn in the Deep Roads. To assume that we'd be facing another Blight in the sequel just opens us up to, effectively, playing the same game again, just with some subtle differences in setting.

As far as the teaser goes, I think Flemmeth said it best;

"This blight poses a greater threat that you Grey Wardens realize."

That means to me that there is something more to this Blight than any other Blight ever before it. That we killed the Archdemon, that's something that's happened in the previous Blights, too. Morrigan is the wild card, because in every other Blight the Archdemon is destroyed, not just stopped.

Also, in my game, the ashes disapeared even though I gave Morrigan the baby. What I didn't do this time was let Genitivi lead me to the temple, I sent him back to Denirim.

It's an interesting theory, however, you have to assume that Morrigan is either fully compliant with Flemmeth's plans or that Morrigan has developed a plan of her own.

If Morrigan has came up with her own plan (Assuming she told you the truth about Flemmeth's method of longevity) I cannot see her willingly giving up her own sentience to become Flemmeth.

Either they both deceived the main character on every turn or they are working against each other with you as a middle man. It's nigh impossible to know.
