I have scoured the internets for this answer but I seriously cannot seem to find anything on it (specifically, there are a ton of questions on this, but no real responses). I have waited until right before the IFF mission to do his loyalty. I have done everyone elses though (unfortunately though Jack is upset with me). The issue is, no matter what options I choose in an attempt to get loyalty via Paragon, I NEVER get the conversation option (it's greyed out regardless of what conversations options I've closen). I have done this mission now 4 times, with no change in the end conversation. 

My Paragon bar is almost entirely filled, and This is pre-IFF, with everyone elses loyalty done.

The question is, does this happen to be a PS3 bug? Or am I just severly missing something here?

If this is the improper place for this, I apoligize. I was reading a lot about this possibly being bugged, so I figured it may as well go here.

Update, I just read about a percentage/ratio per mission or area of possible Paragon/Renegade points to amount earned. If this is the case, choosing ALL Paragon options should in theory give me the ratio I need. But it isn't.

This has to be a bug, because getting this paragon option shouldn't be THIS difficult.

Without an import bonus some of the para/ren checks can be diffcult to pass. You shouldn't have waited so long to attempt it. There is very little chance that it's a bug. You just failed to gather all of the available paragon points while you played and made it hard on yourself by not doing the loyalty mission earlier. Take it as a lesson learned and remember to do it early next time.

It's not a bug because I've had a full Renegade bar late in the game and yet that wasn't enough to persuade Tali and Legion to stand down (yes I know that's the harder way to do it).

On the flip side, I've done Zaeed's loyalty mission much earlier and had easier success getting his Paragon option to light up at the end there. So while that won't really help you now, for future reference, you may want to try it much sooner.

Also (as I've found out) just because the bar is full, that doesn't mean it's "maxed out". Paragon/Renegade scores can still go up even if the bar is filled. And considering Zaeed is a stubborn old goat who may not want to hear what you have to say, you may want to get as much of the max possible (which is why earlier would be better since you could still miss out on Paragon points more than you think the further you go in the game).

Considering I have a full paragon run going, I'm almost positive I haven't missed many if any at all, oppertunities for paragon. This is also not even remotely the first time I have played this game, as I have massive playthroughs on PC. But I brought this up because I have always waited to do Zaeeed last before the IFF, had the same (ish) amount of Paragon, and never had an issue hitting the paragon loyalty with him.

Thanks for the response, What I may end up doing is just waiting for playthrough 2, and attempt it earlier. I was hoping to be able to nail it all on the first round like I've done in the past (PC playthroughs) but oh well. Here's looking at PT2.

yeah.. i kinda read somewhere that you shouldnt wait too long to do your crews' loyalty mission. altho its just speculation, they say it has an effect.



imagine if u asked someone to help you out and he keeps saying yes but never does... not until you bug him at the end and he goes "ah ****... alright, let's do your ****ing quest" heheheh you wouldnt be happy as well. XP

It's all of the little boosts that are easily overlooked that can bite you in the butt. Silly crap like the Batarians, bartender, Quarian and several others on Omega. There's a bunch of little side missions on Illium and the Citadel as well. Those all count towards that para/ren total and without an import bonus you pretty much have to be a completionist if you want to delay facing those para/ren checks until near the end of the game. I'd be seriously surprised if it turns out to be bugged. *shrug*

Aw, crap. I was waiting to do Zaeed's loyalty mission until I had enough Para points. Now I find out it'll be HARDER than if I'd just done it earlier! D:

interesting way of doing it.  makes sense.  but I need meh graphs and numerical confirmations!
