I recently picked up mass effect on steam. I registered the game and downloaded the BDts file but when I run it, it tells me Mass Effect is not installed. Any suggestions on how to get this working so I can install the DLC?

That seems to be for people who are trying to reinstall the DLC and reuse their keys. My problem is the install can't find my mass effect game. It won't even start the process.

When you install frmo Steam, it doesnt actually perform a full installation. Run the game first so Steam then finishes the installation properly. Once at teh main menu, exit out and then try and install BDtS.

I have done that and it still doesn't register as the game being installed on the pc.
