I can't get over how dumb the cowering stance looks on Wesley. It's hilarious, if very lazy on Bioware's part. Then how his sword is magically behind after his and Aveline's first scene his back and how he's kneeling on the ground after the fight even though he never did in battle.

I guess I can't expect a ME2 quality production. Those DA2 devs really love cutting corners.

Someone already mentioned it once but did anyone else notice how FemHawke stay with the sarcastic responses even when the player wasn't promted?

I noticed that.. And I think that's really cool. I actually feel like we're defining our character moreImage IPB

Well I hope you don't have to stick with one of the reply options for the whole game. I usually change my tone depending who I am talking with and why.

No You still get to pick tone on certain conversations but the tone you pick the most will become one that makes your responses become that tone. I know I am waaay oversimplfying the system. I will see if I can find the dev response explaining it.

Edit:

Explanation

Man thats really cool. I hope Mass Effect 3 is doing this for Shepard.

So the way he talks doesn't really reflect the way he acts and vice versa.

That's absurdly easy to do, even in a polarizing game like Mass Effect - which DA2 is not.

Pick all the rude/brusque options and when time comes, make the heroic decision.

Gosh, how hard was that?

Well yes. And I hope it works in DA2 the same way. That's pretty much my point. I just don't know how this 'personality tracking' is going to screw with my idea of what my character is supposed to be like.

I'm assuming that your Hawke will be the type to burn down hospitals full of war orphans, yet take the time to save a kitten from a tree? If so, then yea, personality tracking will definitely screw you over;)

The personality tracking makes sense so that your Hawke isn't constantly acting like a schizophrenic lunatic. It was implemented pretty superficially in Alpha Protocol though, so hopefully Bioware does a better job at it.

I'm gonna play the demo three times at least. First, selecting all the 'nice' options. Second, the sarcastic ones. Third, the not so nice ones. I want to see every possible way that her personality tracks.  ^_^

Then I shall do the same thing with the whole game hehehe.

hey Mike can you spare a word on Bethany's VA?

"Professional."

She was great to work with. Easy going and really got into the character. Good at evoking emotion, too.

That's what you wanted to know, right?

It's Alix Wilton Regan.

From her IMDB

Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening (Video Game)
Mhairi / Ser Tamra (voice)

2009 Dragon Age: Origins (Video Game)
Ser Cauthrien/Sanga/Petra/Habren/Lady's Maid/Howe Estate Maid/Howe Estate Cook/Circle Tower Tranquil (voice)

wow, she did a lot.

 I <3 part 1.

Edit: I lol'd at the part where Flemeth alias High-Dragon shows up and Cassandra cuts off for the epic showdown that was going on.

It was interesting that the player let Bethany deal with the darkspawn in that mini cutscene. I'm a glory hog so I would probably have Carver take a seat.

It won't be forcing you into only evil decisions, you'll still be able to roleplay an intimidating figure while making good choices.

Why do enemies just sink into the ground? They can't even bother to fade away?

And there was an awkward transition there after the Ogre kill to the Flemeth scene.

Part 1 is nice. If we can go by the demo, it looks like Warriors start with Pommel strike as an ability. I wonder what mages and rogues get? I'm almost positive rogues get miasmic flask, and I think mages might get Mind Blast.

Just finished watching part 1 (after watching part 2 first, hehe)

Umm... Just have to say this:

BIOWARE! Mike! David! Chris! And the rest of the team! Please, please, PLEASE! Seriously consider writing Varric and Aveline as LI's for DA3. That is, if they are in the position to be there. Just from the tiny bit that I've seen of them in these clips, they are really amazing characters. I have a feeling they're going to be my favorites. I can't speak for other people. Anyway, thanks for reading.
