Well I just find it kinda silly to say it's not my first choice and then never mention what your first choice would be. For example staying and fighting the blight like ... most people? If you post an idea on this forum and I just post I don't like it and give no reason then many people would call it trolling tbh.namedforthemoon wrote...
Bethany explained why its not the first choice, its crawling with templars.

Ahh. I was want to know how this guy got the demo and nobody else did. Can't be gamestop related because he's from Germany.

Voiced protagonist with new dialog system will most definitely pay off, I'm sure it was worth the effort.
I think I'll be playing this demo over and over till DA2 comes out

I do not think they'll be eligible. We would have seen a leak by now otherwise.

There have been rumours of it (the demo) being locked to normal difficulty. Is this true?
That would certainly be unfortunate since finding out how the higher difficulties compare to DA:O seems to be important to a huge part of the PC community.

Yes it's true, check the stickied demo thread.

Good. Escort missions suck.
Not always. KH made escort missions fun as heck.
Escort missions only suck because certain developers make them suck.
I recall that Morrowind had this one mission for the fighter's guild in which the person you were escorting was a complete badass who would steamroll through anything in the dungeon and she would provide you with healing if you needed it
course, the game's other escort missions played the trope strait as an arrow, to the point where you arrived at the agreed meeting place in another mission to find a note saying "the ruin looks quiet, I'll just go in and look around" *facepalm*

Quick
question: in DA:O, I always used to hate it that, when I was fighting
enemies with NPCs, even if I had done a lot of damage against an enemy,
if an NPC got the last kill, I never got the XP from that enemy. Is it
the same in DA2?
All XP is player XP. Any place XP is
granted, it is granted to the player. If an enemy dying gives XP, that
XP goes to the player.

i like how varric was evaluating cassandra's responses to see if she was trustworthy before telling the real story.
at least, that's what it looked like to me.
It looked like this to me too. Smart Varric[smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/cool.png[/smilie]
people say that she's doing the distressed damsel thing
on him toward the end of the scene, but I'm not so sure, I think maybe
she really is desperate and almost begging him to help her, the power
dynamic certainly shifts drastically during that conversation
also, XP attribution=awesomeness

Man, the combat looks so ridiculous. Cutting multiple enemies in half with a single cut is taking things too far imo.
Looks like I'll be playing this game for the story only, because I cannot take the combat seriously at all..
That was the exagerated version of combat...... if you were paying attention it changes significantly afterwards

[1] Is the whole "He disappeared and no one heard of him again" thing is happening with Hawke just like the warden? it's getting boring.
[2] When Varric begins telling the real story about Hawke and how she escaped, why does he sound like he's reading a newspaper?
Other than that everything is looking good.

Wow this is ****en stupid really there locking high settings to dx11 users only?
wtf i might as well buy it for consoles i only have dx10 since medium is same as consoles.
What if medium would be "high" for DX10? You know texture resolutions and the ability to run it at higher screen resolutions will blow away console capabilities anyway. They are tapped out at 720p and lower res textures. How do you know DX11 features will be that much better?
For one thing, I hope they are as my shiny, new Nvidia 570 is licking it's chops, waiting for March 8th.

I hope he uploads the demo to rapidshareThat would be awesome! People are already begging him on youtube to do it.
And this is why the DLC system is such a brilliant strategy. Sure, you could get the game as a torrent, but if you do you won't get access to all the new content. So do you rush ahead and risk getting a virus, or do you wait a few more days and get Hayder's Razor as a reward?
You don't have to like the effort needed to keep track of it all, but it does make sense.
And where's part 3?

Revan.....The Exile....Warden....
Yep, we can pretty much be sure the exact same thing will happen to Hawke, it's Bioware afterward.

Nah, Hawke's not disappeared, he/she's just under the hill, to return to Kirkwall in its time of need... No, wait, that's King Arthur...
My guess is that Hawke left to do something that seemed important to him/her, and only his/her friends know what and where, and then this all blew up and people are looking for him/her... I reckon Varric knows exactly where Hawke went, but wants to gauge Cassandra's reaction to the story before he decides whether she should be let in on it; get a feel for whether she'd agree with Hawke's position on... whatever's important enough to Hawke to matter.
