Seem likely. The legend of Champion of Kirkwal or could be The legend of Living Champion of Kirkwall, where no one can accurately describe Hawke appearance.ViSeirA wrote...
Okay, just watched this and I have a couple of points:
[1] Is the whole "He disappeared and no one heard of him again" thing is happening with Hawke just like the warden? it's getting boring.
Yup. Doesn't look like a reluctant narrator anymore to me.ViSeirA wrote...
[2] When Varric begins telling the real story about Hawke and how she escaped, why does he sound like he's reading a newspaper?

After watching the videos, the new look and style of the game just really are not working for me. Even in what I assume is the non-exajurated version of the escape from Lothering the combat is kind of rediculous looking. The combat looks even more disjointed to me than in Origins and the weapons are very odd as well. It's too early to fully judge the dialogue but some of it seemed rushed/stilted in the scenes displayed.
I'll still give the demo a spin when it is released but my expectations for this game are tanking even more. On a positive note, at least the warrior animations look a heck of alot better than the rogue animations, those hurt my eyes (and even a portion of my soul).

I saw a combat demo of dragon age 2 and it looked a bit..... turd... to say the least. im getting worried if they ruined it or not coz the combat demo i saw the camera was far out the graphics were ps2ish and they made a new real time combat thingy, if you change things... well just look at front mission evolved change didnt do that good.
Make sure you toggled 1080p in youtube and not 480p....that will help with the graphics thing.

somthing is wrong with Lady hawkes voice its to soft and beths voice is quite off too. its weird there voices dont match there faces really still nice gameplay.
That is probably the problem, when you think you know, how a character should sound just from looking at screenshots.

Sorry I'm late with this, and I'm sure it's already been addressed and put to bed but...GvazElite wrote...
And to be honest I'm more upset with the fans, where you get this juicy new gameplay video and all you guys talk about is god damn breast sizes.
Grow up.
If Growing up teaches you anything, it's that Breasts are ALWAYS a good subject to discuss
Carry on....
Edit: and these videos are friggin awesome. Thank you, to whoever put them up. I can't remember the last time I've been this excited about a game.

Anyway, noticed that spec ability appears locked when he was mousing over it. Wonder if you get to see them when you gain access to the spec or when you actually put points in the spec?

- voice acting choice

- Aveline
CONS:
- Combat animations look like they were ripped off from a JRPG.
- oversized weapons
- the same attribute and item mechanics as in Origins

I think it's just that they are locked for the demo, being unable to seem them during levelling up would hinder character building in the game proper, surely?.

Yah, I never understood why they did it in the first place in DA:O, it only looks to have gotten even worse. In fact, DA:O had horrible scaling of prop and environment. Chairs you can't possibly sit on, book stand at neck level with character, book case two person high with books the size of a freaking tower shield just to name a few.

Did anyone else notice how, in the demo, Hawke swings her swords straight through carver, who doens't even flinch or take damage?
Friendly fire is only on Nightmare mode.

Yep. I noticed that. And I'm wondering if it has something to do with the difficulty level you're playing on. A while back one of the devs was discussing friendly fire, and pointed out that on nightmare, it applies not just to magic attacks, but to weapon attacks too. I'm wondering if Carver WOULD have actually taken damage had the game setting not been on normal.Nighteye2 wrote...

Edit: ninja'd, as usual. <sigh>
