I'm not big on it... I've always been a PC gamer, but recently started playing on consoles for several reasons and I actually enjoy it. And coming from the PC RPG genre, I really love that those games are being translated to the console these days.

I just don't like when people on either side start acting superior. Games coming out on both formats is good for everyone. Being available on PC makes the game more likely to be the style of game those of us here enjoy, and being available on console brings that type of game to more people and increases overall sales (significantly, in this case) making the game more profitable. Which means it is more likely that we see more games of the same type in the future.

- you can use either a keyboard or a controller in most situations, so you can choose whichever feels good to you
- you can bump up the graphics to really nice levels and take screenshots of situations you like and play them at high resolutions

That's my two main reasons. If I was to sit on my couch, the font would be too small, I'd have to wear my glasses because I'm nearsighted and I hate it when things have blurry edges.

Protip: Some of us prefer sitting back and with a controller in our hands, watching tv with bro's or others instead of near a computer with mouse and keyboard, some of us just prefer to sit back, relax after a hard day and enjoy gaming by sitting back and relaxitively enjoyng the game, and some of us can't even afford a high end pc that would play said game. 

So really, this is all very simple and different reasons for others. Don't go knocking others because they choose to play one platform over the others.

Executip: Devs don't like super elitism talk on these forums. Might want to take that somewhere else. <_<

I actually hope that's the case... I'd like to see more in the demo, but that is a pretty good place to stop without spoiling to much. It's only a few more days...

So basically, combat does look completely retarded. That thin little woman swings that two-handed sword that's as big as herself at godspeed? Welcome to Dynasty Warriors. I liked the really tactical fight against the ogre...hithithithithithithithithit.

And the graphics...yes, I know they are locked to medium, but seriously, I don't expect much better graphics at higher settings and right now, they look...terribly dated and pretty much like DA:O.

You do realise that was Varic making up epix fights right? If not, welcome to the forums, you're a couple of months late.

In the real fight with the ogre, you barely escape and one of your siblings die, depending on what class you are.

Also, good luck playing DA 2 Dynastry Warriors-like on Hard and Nightmare.

The speed of attack animations was slower than I expected, what I remembered from other videos. Video compression might have something to do with it, I don't know, but it looked much better. I think the balance of speed and fluidity is actually good.
I'm a little worried that combat doesn't look deadly enough for my taste, though. By this I mean it takes too many attacks to take down anyone, IMO.

She seems downright desperate. I love it.

Not that I dislike her, I just like the atmosphere it is setting up.

I think what it said was that it crashed while alt-tabbed out of the demo - a lot of games don't seem to like it when you switch to windows... yet they don't disable the windows key or alt-tab. Given that the uploader was running Fraps to record it, what I suspect happened was that they alt-tabbed out to do something with Fraps - maybe get the video ready to upload, maybe just check it or something, and when they tried to return, the demo had crashed.

1.Looks nearly  identical to DAO except faster

2.I had Zevran dualwielding Swords his size faster than gods speed, and god is pretty fast

3.I doubt anyone here has even played that game and has mereley become the new Call of duty as in it's a easy game to bash because your beliefs are L33t

So, you expect the beginning of the game to be super tactical?  Not to mention the exagerrated portion of the game where you are pretty much a god and can pwn anything in sight like a true hero?  It honestly sounds like you think that that is what the rest of the game is going to be like that, which I am sure is not true and I am simply misinterpreting your words because that would be utterly foolish.

I've experienced the very same thing before. It was a hardware issue in my case... when I updated my card/drivers, the crashing when I tabbed out stopped.

But I wasn't concerned about the cause of the crash, just if there was more. And that still answers the question... so thanks.

Beyond that, I thought it was well done, she does come in be all RAWR, but when the facts of why the champion is needed, she remembers the wieght of it, it glums here up some, very human.

I was getting a Maleficent vibe out of her beforehand, but maybe the storyline will show her path down to this desperation. It is still all speculation though, maybe she is just acting around. I think I will like her regardless, though.
