Sorry to post this here, since it doesn't directly relate to the demo but to DA2 gameplay in general, but has it been confirmed whether locks will be bashable this time around, or do you still have to be a rogue to get into locked chests etc? I'd do a search, but for some reason the search function is appallingly slow for me this evening.
I'm quite certain we've been told that only rogues can open chests.
Thanks all. Well, given that none of the early companions seems to be a rogue, my ridiculous compulsion to open all .. er .. openable objects means I'll be playing a rogue in almost all my playthroughs. Again.

At least until someone makes a mod. AlexXIV: Yeah, I wish it could be like KoTOR, where anyone could bash a lock, but if you weren't a thief type you risked breaking the contents. Would mean the lockpicking skill remains useful, without being utterly vital to a loothound like myself. Sigh.
OT: One thing I liked (and I didn't think I would) was the speeded-up weapon animations and even the trails. I know, it's less realistic etc, and I'm not a JRPG fan so I don't have a liking for that style in general. It just seemed to give the combat a bit more ... something. Oomph? Awesome? Dunno, but I rather liked it.
