Quick question: in DA:O, I always used to hate it that, when I was fighting enemies with NPCs, even if I had done a lot of damage against an enemy, if an NPC got the last kill, I never got the XP from that enemy. Is it the same in DA2?
All XP is player XP. Any place XP is granted, it is granted to the player. If an enemy dying gives XP, that XP goes to the player.
That is awesome.

I'm still trying to figure out if this is supposed to be dragon age or mass dragon effect.
I'll give you a 2/10 for effort.
Everyone knows when you troll DA2 by proclaiming it to be a ME clone, you say "Dragon Effect" not "Mass Dragon Effect". That just isn't catchy. So, -1.
Final score: 1/10
Good try, though.

Unless you are also complaining about Bethany's and Isabela's breast size. Then it would be "Mass (BOOB)Age".
Someone else came up with that.

There's a lot of people in these forums who need to quit their day-jobs and start a electronic entertainment company if we're ever going to get anything worthy to buy considering Bioware is obviously not up to the job...
Well, yeah, I get that. Complaining before a game is released about a demo that isn't the demo we will be downloading

Logic? This forum is the most delightfully illogical place I have ever stumbled into. Forget logic. Bask in the crazy. <3

Wesley: Allow me to commend your daughter's soul to the Maker. "Ashes we were, and-"
Hawke: *PUNCH*
Aveline:
Hawke: NO. NO! You do NOT get to do that! You wanted her dead not five minutes ago!
Oh, Wesley. I'm going to enjoy your sudden but inevitable demise.

Neutral sounding M!Hawke - Omg boring, meer clone
Actually tries to pull off some emotion - Omg tries too hard, fake
Sometimes, this forum makes me think that majority of players just dislike the male hero for whatever reason.

Sad to see Companions seem to automatically level up to Hawke's level when they join. I hated that in DAO and hoped it wouldn't return. Hopefully they'll all join sufficiently early that they won't be too screwed up, stat-wise.
Hmmm, how would they do it otherwise? I don't want Hawke to be meatshielding for weak-as-kitten partymembers until they level up a bit, or worse avoiding using some companions entirely cos their level is just too low.

Here is the logic. Those who have critical remarks are remarking on the information that we have. Now, you may justifiably say that this isn't entirely fair, since we have not seen the entire game. However, thos who are critical can only comment on the information they have, not on information they don't hoave, so, when game play like this is revealed, it is a new piece of information that one can discuss, examine, and yes, even critique. As for us getting a different version, you are absolutely correct that we will apparently not be playing the same build as the one in these videos. You cannot be so naive or fanatical as to beleive that the version we will get, which will have more polish, will be SIGNIGANTLY different from these videos in any MEANINGFUL way. Updated textures, more informative tool tips and such (and, for the love of the Maker, please, PLEASE, please fire the Hurlock Solid Gold Dancers), but Hawke is not all of a sudden going to become a quanarii or we are not going to get a new class or such.
Different people have different expectations. If yours have been met, then life is good for you. Beleive, Bioware doesn't the vapid defense of a legion of mindless followers, they are perfectly able to deal (and often very successfully, which sets them apart from many other game companies) with those who are critical of their work. People who are critical about these are not doing this for hell of it. They have been customers and consumers of Bioware products for many years (as have some of the more ardent supporters have I am sure), and they "complain" as you simply put it because they have a genuine affection for the company and their products. They could simply disappear and you could have your forum full or fan appreciation threads for companion characters or polls for squad make-ups and such, but, in my opinion, I think ultimately Bioware's products would suffer. That is not to say that I ever see my comments making much of difference, but there are long time members of these boards that have made real contributions in the past.

No, I don't mean start them at level 1. Just start them at whatever level Hawke is, but without the attribute and talent points spent.AllThatJazz wrote...
