Does anyone know if there is a video of the same kind of demo with the male hawke?

Not that I don't mind the female, I think she's actually really good. Just want to hear the different perspective.

Ayup, the third part of the video. :)

The third video has male hawke in it. Just go to the first video, click on the author's name, it'll take you to his youtube channel. Click on Uploads and you'll find the third video.

Edit: Or, ya know, watch it up there...

Excuse me Bioware but does it look like the enemies show up in batches? I noticed some of them just barge in in the middle of the fight... is that part of the whole "fight like a spartan" thing? because I sure never go in a battle without a strategy in-place, numbers and types of enemies are a major deciding factor in this and if I don't know them beforehand...well you get the idea, it completely requires me to change plans mid-fight which isn't a good idea.

Yes, fights can have multiple waves. Being able to adapt to changing battle conditions and enemy force composition is important in DA2.

Its not the full demo, but it is still a sense of what he sounds like. We have a few more days until the demo comes out.

2.Then again, there are those who really do just prefer F!Hawke over M!Hawke. I know I do, but it isn't my place to insult, belittle, or criticize another voice that I have no intention of playing with.[/b]

1.ANYONE WHO PREFERS MALE CHARACTERS IS SEXIST

2.Anyone who prefers Female characters is ok

I constantly see you trying to make Females come off as some kind of as treated worse in all aspects, it's about all you post it seem

I remember about 2 months ago when you spent hours arguing that Bioware didn't care for their female fanbase purley due to the fact they aren't marketing towards them,
Your agruement went on for like 5 pages

1.Did you even read my full post? You make a nasty habit of reading what you want and putting things out of proportion.

2.Here. I'll make it SUPER EASY for you and clip out the very thing that does NOT support your argument because you are an angry person who likes to try

3.The second statement can be applied for those who prefer M!Hawke over
F!Hawke. When they INSULT the F!Hawke's VA for the sole sake of being a
jerk (Like how people insult M!Hawke), it isn't fun.

4.Bioware didn't expose any information then. After people hankered and yelled and requested and asked, Bioware finally started releasing info and talkinga bout her. Maybe it was because people asked. Maybe it wasn't.

Now do me a favor and stop trolling my posts.

1.Fine i'll respond to everything, even the things i agree with or are not worth responding to because i have nothing to say about them and do not relate to the things i find Objective in your post

2.Thankyou

3.The structure of this sentence was confusing and not easy at all, you lied.
and who is saying anyones VA is a  is a jerk? I have never heard someone call jennifer hale a jerk.

4.Maybe because they hadn't exposed any info at all. next to two minor parapgraphs about 2 companions and 2 CGI trailers?
Maybe you should have waited before calling Biowares marketing sexist? it's ok to ask for trailers and whatnot, but it's going over the line saying there not doing it because they don't care about the female fanbase (IMO)

5.Wrong definition of troll smarty pants =).
Someone who disagrees with you is not a troll. Sorry.

Again, I figure its because people are very defensive over their VA. I don't care for Male Shepard, but I don't try to ridicule him.

One person's RPG game is gonna be different than someone else's. Its personal preference.

Yeah I don't care if someone uses X more it doesn't affect my game. Just the constant bashing of Meer is just irritating.

And yes that is very true.

I liked the third vid. Good to see AngryHawke be aaaaaaaangry. Guy playing it frustrated me with his lack of combat skills. Arrgh, don't charge off alone with your mage dude.

I liked Wes's little prayer-speech too. That Guardian tree for Aveline looks nice.

How are new waves triggered?  Are they time-based, or is it the total HP remaining across the previous wave, or is it based on the death of a set number of enemies from the previous wave?

3) Uh, no its not. And I said F!Hawke, not Jennifer Hale. Where did I say Jennifer Hale? Where is ME2 in this?

4) There was still more information being presented about Male Hawke. You are putting words in my mouth. I didn't say Bioware's marketing was sexist. If anything, I've implied it didn't expose F!Hawke to people who would prefer to play a female, not until recently and even then it is only available to fans - not casual gamers. Take that as you will.

If you want to talk about ME2's marketing, it was unfair and gender biased. But that was then, this is now.

5) No. Right definition. You have been tracing me down, responding to my posts, insulting me, being an overall jerk, and trying to instigating a mean attitude in my face.

Regardless, off topic long enough, and I'm blocking you. I'm tired of your attitude.

I think the Ogre boss fight was based on the Ogre's Hp

Others could be diffrent

Triggers in dialogue, events, and maps. Once those triggers are tripped, the next wave of enemies are 'spawned'. Some examples include; walking your chracter over an invisible trigger on the map; killing a certain number of enemies; and chosing specific lines of dialogue.

Also kind of funny that Aveline killed the Ogre almost alone with potions. I know that's not supposed to be a hard setting but the ogre seemed to be weaker than Aveline. Well he didn't have potions though.

Also I didn't see any positioning. So I guess whether you get attacked from front or rear doesn't matter.

There were many combat balance changes since the build that was taken from. The Ogre is a bit weaker, and Aveline takes more damage.

Positioning determines if you get your flanking bonus. It's also significant for Shield Defense.

Wow, that is fantastic news!  Thanks for that information, that definitely sounds mighty cool!  It should definitely make the fights a lot more interesting and challenging, fantastic idea, can't wait to experience that for myself!

3.That's just the only VA name i know, I'll clarify next time. But GJ not actually responding to my statmenet and chaning topic.

4.Yes you never said biowares marketing is sexist, just that they didn't carre about females and didn't care for their buisness. I'm talking about DA2's marketing, I remember a thread were you and other user's were arguing the same stupid topic about marketing for about 5 pages, I think i'm falling into the same trap.

5.i lol'd
Tracing you down? The only reason you see me responding to your post is because whenever i see your post they seem to be wrong in one way or another, or i think your giving a Opinion that has no basis.
If you didn't want a mean attitude then don't call people sexist. As it is quite offensive.

Ahh, thanks everyone!

Like his voice as well. Bioware definitely nailed down the VA's for both genders I think. But I've seen some of you say this an old demo or something, does this mean that the new demo will be different in alot of ways, or relatively similar?

So far, the game looks great. Really like the art style and the combat. The only thing that felt akward like some of you have pointed out is that actual dialogue. It just felt...weird. But the fluidity will probably kick in quickly. The beginning of the first Mass Effect still makes me feel odd, so I wouldnt be to worried about it.

This is an old convention demo.  Not what is coming out on the 22nd.

Obviously, he got it by trapping a ton of monkeys in a room with binary keys.

1. It's not the demo we're getting on the 22nd.
2. It's the demo from one of the conventions. According to him, BioWare gave it to him.
