Remember how quiet the Korcari Wilds were and that you just walked up the tower to ignite the signal fire without any opposition at all?
Oh wait...

But the thing is the majority of people don't post on these forums. So we have no way of knowing if they prefer Meer or Hale one way or another. These forums are a very very very loud minority. As for PC Gamer those are articles written by single people. That single person might've preferred FemShep. That's all there is to it.
Though yes BW could at least advertise a feature in their game. I knew about FemShep because I was on the forums but if I wasn't I wouldn't have had a clue. That's not good for a feature BW puts so much time and effort into.
Though I had no problem with female animations in DAO. /shrug and in ME all animations look like crap male or female.

Heh, well that's true. But it's still a yardstick of sorts, albeit a fanatical, crazy yardstick with a big mouth. Though I'm not sure about the PC Gamer thing. I doubt the guy's editor would have approved the article if it had just been a purely 'lone wolf' opinion. The flatmate of an ex used to work for the British mag and he reckoned the articles were usually pretty reflective of the staff at least. Mind you, that was back in the mists of time so things could well have changed.
And the ME thing - really? Cos when FemShep sat down in the little black dress from the Kasumi dlc and sat there, legs all akimbo and everything, I was honestly appalled. Far worse than any of the ManShep animations. Origins did much better, I agree. But I still thought there was a noticeable difference between Origins and the DA2 demo. The female Hawke had some great movement that to me, looked far more like how a lot of women really move.

2) Enlighten to me as to the 'dance in sync' thing? Do you mean where they come onto the screen at the same time and such? Doesn't bother me.
No, he is referring to the encounter with the emissary, or at least that is where it shows up the worst. The Solid Gold Hurlok Dancers are all moving in EXACT synchronicity, bobbing and re-loading in time with the emissary band leaders. I mean, they look like copies. I hope, I really do hope they caught this (since this is an older build) and fixed that.

please remove your horseglasses and look objective im not saying origins better or worse but in that case i prefer origins gameplay.
You're looking at a 15 minutes demo build, that is about half a year old and you instantly know, if this game is good or bad?
Just play the new demo next week, than you may be able to judge the game.

I simply recommended you check out another video.
Regardless, I think I'm done discussing this.
Russ,
I honestly wonder why I even bother coming here. I guess it's to get information on the game but still... I know I won't be around much at launch.

usually games with bad graphics are content heavy....dragon age 2 is bad from every point of view.
Graphics are mediocre, and gameplay is hack n slash.....you can't customize your party appearence and exploration is near to zero......
People on forums outside this....look at skyrim and the witcher 2 and ask themselves why they should buy dragon age 2
don't be so naive. skyrim and the witcher2 will have their equal share of problems, but they will be different problems. Judging by the respective developer's past record, skyrim will be offensively broken and have all the emotional pathos of a bag of rocks. And the witcher will be fiddly to the point of autism and have more gratuitous breasts than playboy.
these games are different, which means neither better nor worse. sometimes i get so frustrated when people think otherwise. it shows a lack of maturity.

And (at first release anyway) loading screens so long that I'll have grown old and died before making it into the first house <_<

I do take the point somewhat that others make (this isn't in response to you, as I know you weren't targetting me anyway). Origins, for some of the starting stories, didn't throw you into combat straight away. However, the game still features a lot of combat and well... what do people expect when the family is fleeing a darkspawn army...? For there to be no action, while people sit down and converse/sing? Or take a leisurely stroll?
I mean really... and it's not like we haven't known about how the game starts for quite a while.
Rylor,
Thanks for the clarification. I might look into that again later, but honestly, nothing bothered me while watching. At this point, the only way I could feel a bit dissapointed is if the game doesn't make your choices have too large an impact.
Edit: Btw Gat, any reason you haven't registered your copy of Origins if you own it? (I assume you do because you said you preferred the gameplay from Origins.)

Most articles have a disclaimer about the views of the writer not being a reflection of the company as a whole. Least most of the ones I've read said that.
Really? You don't think that strange necktwist or the fact that Shep jogs like he's a good 50 pounds heavier than he is bad? Though I hated that little black dress to start with and never wore it again. The fact that Shep runs around her ship with it on is ridculous to me so I never ran into the whole wide legs problem. Maybe its because I play Male Shep so much but his animations bother me. They look like they belong to a bigger man. Then of course is the rapeface.
Though yes FemHawke's rig looks more natural. I hope the same is true for DudeHawke.

If this isn't the demo that's being released, why hasn't this thread been locked? I've seen more worthwhile threads be locked before now, and this appears to do nothing for anyone.

Don't they always put that just in case they're at risk of getting sued for something and want to cover their arses? My company puts out disclaimers all the time, but there's often consensus (or near consensus) among staff.
And hey, I was trying to impress Garrus by wearing the LBD. But I think the view just made him want to calibrate some more.
Though I admit. I'd forgotten about rapeface. *Shudder*

True I just dislike the majority thinks X when using a very limited group. And I had far greater issues with that 15 things ME needs than the whole femshep business but this is the wrong forum.
I don't get that logic. Garrus is a turian the chances of him being attracted to female bodies in the first place are slim. Just look at how awkward his love scene is. He doesn't really check Shepard's body out to begin with. (Hell he has to look Shep over to figure out what to compliment.)

Well my Shep didn't know that. As a young woman more experienced in battles than relationships, her logic was that wearing something nice to ask out the scaly reptile she'd fallen for equalled a Good Thing. Especially since plenty of Turians are attracted to Asari, and there isn't much (if any) difference between the body shapes of Asari and human females. But like I said, didn't quite pan out the way she planned
Wow, we are hideously off-topic!

Six months after you finish playing the game, the Witcher 2: Enhanced Edition will come out with the content and fixes the developer admits should have been in the original game.
