I love how Bethany ACTUALLY CARES that Carver's dead, unlike the other way around.
Pure speculation here, but I'm going to guess that Carver don't care much for Mages. There was another instance in Kirkwell where he disagreed with mage Hawke as well.

Bethany's grieving for Carver is a lot better than what he offered her when she got squished.
I agree. Good for me that I play warrior first

I wonder if that has to do with the tone that Hawke uses, When we saw carver grieving (if you could call it that) for bethany, Hawke took an aggressive approach, but when bethany was grieving for carver, Hawke took a kinder approach.
In the earlier videos when Lady Hawke took her snarky tone when meeting with Aveline and her hubby, she used a different line than what aggressive male Hawke did about which way they should go.
If this is indeed this case it is quite interesting. Or I could just be reading too much into this.

This could be true and it seems that Hawke sets the tone for the rest of the conversation. Notice how Mama Hawke didn't scream "It's your fault!" this time around.KnightOfTwo wrote...

Anyway, I'll use the angry option when Carver dies just for giggles. :innocent:

Ogre battle with a rogue in party is a lot easier.
Gizm already stated that the reason his first fight didnt go so well was cos his healer (Bethany) got killed by the ogre, so he had no one healing for that battle. This one went better cos she lived.

That in tandem with a rogue's high damage output and a warrior maintaining aggro creates easier fights.

Don't forget the stun bombs he kept chucking.

I had the impression that he would have been much better in his Mage!Fight if he had paused the game a little more.

I think it's a mix of both. Rogue Hawke makes a lot more damage than other companions/Hawkes, and of course Bethany has healing magic, but she used that only one time. Heal as a long cooldown (40s) so to me a rogue was at the same level of importance that heal.
