I really doubt fights are longer. That person is really bad at the game and everyone was autoattacking the whole time.Nerevar-as wrote...

And why are enemies as slow as in Origins?
Because if every enemy leaped through the air the combat would be a mess; it seems pretty obvious.
If all combat is the video, then we are fragile speedters types. We hit a lot but don´t do as much damage as the slower oponents. Also, battles in the video are slower than the ones from Origins, movements are faster, but fighs last longer. I don´t want to fight an ogre more than 2 minutes.

Graphics settings shouldn't change facial features...Purple People Eater wrote...
Settings are locked in the demo. The first two minutes given to Joystiq was probably a video of the game run at its highest capabilities.
Yes. I think so.hhh89 wrote...
Isn't the demo first public playthrough older than the joystick first two minutes preview?

It seems that the eyes are bigger in the second pic and the chin a little shorter. Could be the lighting, I agree.AL JA wrote...
I dont think the actual features have changed, the shading is just better giving it more shape, look at the proportions they are the same.

This IS NOT the demo that will be released to the public on February 22.
I see a bunch of questions thining that this person got early access to the demo or whatever. This is a build and demo from a convention appearance. It isn't the demo you will all be getting on Feb 22.
Just so you know.

* Flemeth.
* Story looks like it could be interesting.
Cons:
* Once upon a time Hurlocks looked cool. Not anymore.
* Combat looks extremely retarded. To much jumping around, swinging in ultraspeed and sword abilities that make multiple enemies explode.
* Combat also looks boring, just fighting wave after wave after wave after wave after wave after wave of darkspawn. Yay, finally done. Whops, I was wrong, here comes another one!
* The illusion of multiple choices: You can say three different things but it sure didn't look lite it mattered which one was said in most cases.
Summary: I will try the demo but my expectations are pretty low.

Honestly I loved it, good story, good plot, nice combat, but I was already buying it so it just reconfirmed my past choice.

She just has a more wide-eyed stare in the second picture since it's probably not from the exact same moment as in picture one - it's called facial expressions.axa89 wrote...

Everyone is welcome to opinions, personally I like the combat, the darkspawn look more human, which is the way the lore is, and the dark spawn they fight are far less then DAO numbers. I mean it's DAO, I expect dark spawn, similiar to if I play mass effect I expect Geth. Sure you fight other stuff, but they will be there. Choice illusion I disagree, the choices had meaning, the class dictated who would die, the choice dictated the altered tone of character, and as for plot choices, well it's beginning of game I wouldn't expect many. I mean when I was in Ostagar in DAO or Elysium on ME 1 there were few choices with impact, even Witcher only has 1 choice in the intro phase.
Honestly I loved it, good story, good plot, nice combat, but I was already buying it so it just reconfirmed my past choice.
I wanted to commend you for expressing your disagreement with politeness and class.

So what are the chances of the real beginning of the game featuring a more emotional sibling death scene? Not high?ProfessionalPirate wrote...

That frog-eyed stare is NOT a facial expression, she has it for all the duration of the video. It's an older build or lighting do wonders.it's called facial expressions

Just watched both videos myself and you're right. Maybe there's still some hope for more emoting from Hawke during the death scenes in the gold version of the game...axa89 wrote...
