Well, that was expected. I'm glad that you like what you see but I think I have as much right to say what I think as you do
But that's just my opinion, no need for you to get defensive and upset because of what I think.

Aaaa. I feel better now. Didn't think the public demo looked bat at all, but that really is a big improvement.
I can't be sure about the images (other than the fact that the first one is much more shiny, and thus gains points with me
Also, I noticed some subtly different camera angles during conversations (The most glaring one is at the "new hobby" line, in that part too).

Indeed, maybe Bioware gave him the go ahead, or he did it anyway. Who knows.

First public demo playthrough:
Just looking at the background on the left behind Bethany and Carver, it's totally different in the live demo chat and the first public demo playthrough. Behind Carver, the double-doors (if that's what they are) appear to different than the ones in the Bethany version. Also, the pilasters next to the doors in the Bethany version are compelety missing in the Carver version (if you compare the first two screenshots up top).
Considering that they're the same quest area, I don't think there would be such drastic changes unless they're different builds. Pretty sure they wouldn't change the architecture for two different characters - unless this subtle change is somehow related to Varric's storytelling (I assume that such is not the case however).

If you check this thread http://social.biowar...index/6090138/1, you can see that some trees have different styles, i.e. Sword and Shield, Warmonger, Battlemaster.
I can't wait for Tuesday to see the real demo :-)

Pros:
* Flemeth.
* Story looks like it could be interesting.
Cons:
* Once upon a time Hurlocks looked cool. Not anymore.
* Combat looks extremely retarded. To much jumping around, swinging in ultraspeed and sword abilities that make multiple enemies explode.
* Combat also looks boring, just fighting wave after wave after wave after wave after wave after wave of darkspawn. Yay, finally done. Whops, I was wrong, here comes another one!
* The illusion of multiple choices: You can say three different things but it sure didn't look lite it mattered which one was said in most cases.
Summary: I will try the demo but my expectations are pretty low.

For those people who don't stick with one tone it might be quite jarring, like having multiple personalities. IMHO they should have gone the subtler route. On the other hand, we haven't seen much, maybe it's only on some lines...
That is why they are going with consistency. The option you pick the most will be automatically applied in situations where you can't input your choice.

This IS NOT the demo that will be released to the public on February 22.
I see a bunch of questions thining that this person got early access to the demo or whatever. This is a build and demo from a convention appearance. It isn't the demo you will all be getting on Feb 22.
Just so you know.
That is all
Sorry bro, the german demo that leaked is most assuridly the latest version and the one you will get less than 3 days from now. There is no PRE ALPHA ALPHA ALPHA BETA demo, it's all teh same and Bioware is just trying to do damage control.

The first one looks a lot better. I'm gonna go out on a branch and assume the first one is the console version, or a snippet from the full game with dx11. However, the facial model on the first image is much better.
edit: also if you've played the demo yet, the mobility you get is great. I feel much more mobile for literally the same exact style of play as DA:O (other than being easy as heck) However, the animations bring this down a lot because they're way too absurd. I don't mind the rogue's "shadowstep" ability and the short cooldown it has. That's very nice. But for enemies that are 20y+ away your rouge does an enormous leap? Come on Bioware.

I dunno, to be honest if I was given the choice between believing the Bioware community manager (or whatever the hell it that Mr Priestly does
Of course theres a chance I might be wrong, and if I am then I'll hold my hands up and admit it but seeing as Bioware aren't in the business of lieing.......well at least not so openly and publicly, then I really don't think I'm wrong.
Edit - Don't get me wrong...I'm not saying that I think the demo we play is going to be miraculously better graphically or otherwise than what we've seen, just that it is'nt going to be the same build, which might just mean a slight difference in content than what we've seen in those youtube vids or it might (as some people hope) mean updated textures or whatever, Tuesday will reveal all.

The German demo from the German maganize Gamestar which alreadready reviewed the game is the legit demo we are getting on Tuesday. The only difference is it is in German.

Precisely why I ask that of someone else to do haha. It does look a bit better, but the cutscenes are all cut out so close up graphical detail is difficult to tell.

How can a woman look so hot on one picture and so, well, not that hot (still hot!) on the other ? I pray to god that with max settings the game will look more like the upper pictures >_<
