Title mostly says it all. What I'm wondering is why they didn't make the version that mentions the team the character's last words if loyal. Also, they really should have used the Samara alternate for Morinth. Not like she'd care about getting "the others through".  No idea why the LI versions were cut, or why only those three had romance-specific deaths. Also, thanks to Mosor, Mesina2 and Galimor_001 for providing some saves so I could check for these (and some other...) lines in-game

Not like it matters, since you can't hear either one.  He only dies if he's not loyal there, and to romance him, you have to get him loyal, so....

Well, I tested it personally with two different Sheps who'd romanced her, and it didn't play.  Forum searches back this up too: other people who've romanced Jack have said it doesn't play for them either.  I'm gonna have to say you're mistaken on that one.  Unless you know some trick for triggering it.

Thane's alternate LI audio is just... depressing. I also prefer the alternate version for Tali, as it doesn't sound rushed the way her actual audio does.

Personally, I think that quality makes it the best of the LI-specific stuff.  Short...and bleak.

I'm glad Tali had some alternative lines but I'm surprised there are no LI lines for her, I mean before ME2 was released loads of people were asking BioWare too make her a LI so she was probably expected too be the most popular one. She also risks death to be with Shep, whilst Miranda just has a shag with you, Garrus although nice isn't as serious as the others, again Jacob's romance is similar to Garrus' just more Risk and more Prize, Jack finally finds happiness in her life and the alternative lines work well for that and the same goes for Thane.
Note: I'm not bashing any characters just saying my opinoin:)

That's actually my favorite in this batch.  I really wish they'd used that version for when you'd done his loyalty mission.
