I searched the forum and only found one thread regarding reformatting, they asked about save data. I understand to save my progress I will need to save my character folder but what will happen to my DLC? I was worried that the promotional items and such wouldn't be able to be downloaded or reused again. Is this information saved to my EA account? If so will I be able to simply downloaded them again?

The DLC stuff is also in the save folder. Just backup the entire My Documents/Bioware folder

edit: The DLC stuff is in the ADDINS folder if you just want them.

I might not have the ability to backup the larger DLC like the Wardens Keep and the Stone Prisoner. I take it that I do not have the option to download them again? I was hoping my EA account would allow me to do that.

I would assume you can download them again after you have installed your game again and logged into the same account with the in-game downloader.

But i have not done it so i couldn't say.

Yeah you are supposed to be able to redownload them. I am not gonna delete mine to test, but you should be able too. And they aren't that big anyways. a 4 gig flash will hold them all easily, and thats what a 15 dollar flash drive.

You can redownload them for sure. I've installed on my other home PC and downloaded them to it no problem.

The Shale DLC is 500 meg..but still will fit on a flash drive

hi i am not able to redownload the DLC because i have format my comptuter and just keep my player data. So i am not able to load my old character game because i dont have the DLC. thank you.

I have the same problem as Tom, DA says I need to login with the correct account with the DLC. But the problem is, I am logged in with the correct account!

i also reformatted my pc and after installing dragon age the dlc will be automatically downloaded and installed. if that ain't the case, try to start dragon age as admin or manually start the daupdater process. that might help.
