I've never downloaded a game demo before in my life. I just never saw the point of a teaser, especially when I know I'll be playing the game soon. That said, I'm on board. For the lure of free shiny things.

Don't download the demo if you want fancy items.

We play the same games.  My hubby on the other hand likes strategy games.  My son and I like rpgs, shooters, etc.  We also listen to the same kinds of music too, Greenday, etc.

BTW, for others, I see no problem with my son playing mature games.  As long as he's not out there acting them out, and he isn't, then there isn't a problem.  Sex is a part of life and blood, gore.  He sees more of that on crime shows that we watch all the time.  He's a huge COD fan.

Is it just about download count? Can someone set up an automated downloader on a spare PC that does nothing but download this over and over?

Think you have to log in with your ea account or w/e while you play for it to register as a download.

Not sure how this will work, I recall Bioware has done things in the past like this. Though on a different game (whose name may involve the words Wars and Star), though that was for a reveal not in game items but same idea, get so many people into it, and you get the thing anyway for effort.



If it's by down loadable file, they should get close, I mean you have people who re download, download on different systems, etc, etc. If it's by IP address or something silly, then it may be more difficult. Either way put in a good effort, and they will probably reward us someway.

No one else I know plays RPG's, either driving or football games, I've tried before to get them interested but to no avail, so....., well I'll download it still anyway.

Plus the demo is awesome, who wouldn't want to play it?

Well I am getting it for sure and have a couple friends I told about it that are in, but the rest of my friends will only download it if the character creation is included, so will have to wait to see.

The Items are not the point. The point is spreading the brilliance that is Dragon Age to as many people as possible. I've talked this up where i can, i reackon i've got at least ten people that never, to their shame, played DAO who will now at least DL the demo and see how they like it.



Way i see it, it's in our best interests to see Bioware games sell since that paves the way for new games and improved funding. They may even give Evil Chris a payrise for having to deal with us all the time.

I posted an article to reddit about this. Only has 25ish upvotes, but hey, I did my part to spread the word. Should be fun to see how close we come (I'm not holding my breath over making a million, though).
