I hate demo's, when i'm already going to buy the fully game (and I got the free upgrade to signature edition) but guess I have to download and play to unlock the in-game item. Because I also hate not having all items available to me when I easily can. Easily in this case meaning I don't have to pay extra for them. I'll also be doing the DA legends game even though I only have a dummy facebook account for promotional stuff like that heh.



Also I think people that download the demo should get the books automatically. They just aren't unlocked for everyone that owns DA 2 unless the 1 million EA account holders play the demo. Though I think its safe to say that you will likely far surpass one million.

Ok, I will take one for the team and download the demo, then play with one eye closed and headphones on so I don't see/hear any "spoilers". After Mike's last demo as FemHawke and the addition of the possessed Anders as a follower I decided YES, YES, YES I will buy Dragon Age II!

Er I have a question,I dont want to play the demo because I want to experience DA2 for the first time when I play the full game,I dont want any spoilers,no mater how small. So,if I just DL the demo but not play it will I get the DLC if I dont play through the demo?

I dislike all the items and content they have made that dosen`t seem to be a part of the game. I think that when you buy a game it shud have all its content. And the way to aquier content shud be in game actions not RL actions.

It all so annoys me that i can`t get all the games content by just buying it it seems it requires you to do other stuff that i have little interest in. Now this demo would be a bad example cause i defo wanna play that. But the way i understand it there also item available from playing the facebook game and that not something im interested in.

To be honest items dont really count as actual content so I personally dont mind this but if it was something like an extra quest or party member I would probably be pissed too.

Talked to 2 of my Gamestop manager buddies a lil bit ago and over 100 per was told today not including the other people that work in the store that told folks after the managers were gone for the day.

Why do you "need" one million downloads of a demo, of all things?

Not that it matters, I've been lamenting the abortive attempt at a sequel that is Dragon Age 2 to everyone who will listen.  So count me as a Pride Demon or something.  No marching, rather active opposition.

They don't "need" people to download it - they just want a lot of people to try it, which I think is pretty much what any company that releases a game demo wants.

EA did exactly this with NFS Hot Pursuit. The aim was to get 1000 000 demo downloads by a set date which would then unlock some special cars in the game.
They never quite reached 1000 000 but made the cars available anyway!
I suspect it will be the same thing here.
