It will ridiculesly hard to get 1 million downloads for each platform, but combined it will be quite easy.

1million is across all platforms.

Then it's going to be a breeze honestly, or at least I hope it will, as long as it gets some prime time on front page on Xbox Live and Playstation Network. PC will of course do their part, but I'm pretty sure most unique downloads will come off the consoles.

Over what time period do you aim to get these 1,000,000 downloads?

The Facebook event mentions 12:00 till 15:00 pm, but that's hardly specific since there's no time zone mentioned (though it could automatically adjust to mine, dunno) and seems like a horribly narrow window of time.

These two items are just extra gold and extra XP, which I assume won't be that great if it's given at the start of the game. I'm sure, even if you don't disable it, the item itself wouldn't be much of a gamebreaker. It would probably just be nice to have in general, considering you can never have too much money and can't hit the level cap.
