meh, couldn't they just let this slide I had my hopes up that we would get it today...
i would imagine it would reflect poorly on bioware if they knowingly ignored it.

What exactly does spamming consist of?
Yeah what does that mean? People who downloaded more than once and are these complete downloads or partial. I know I tried downloading a couple of times before going to a mirror. I thought the count was based on logging into our ea account. Does that mean people may have multiple accounts with the same web address, which isn't a real indictor because my nephews both have the game and use the same internet connection. Heh.

I suspect it means that someone hacked the network communication protocol to make it seem like people were playing the demo when they actually were not. If you can find a list of valid EA accounts (and every BioWare social account is an EA account) and the protocol is not encrypted, you could pull it off.

good question and good point.
Maybe Ea is making Bioware lie about the spamming so they can have them release it as DLC we have to pay for.
just kiddin!
that being said, i wouldn't put it past EA.

The numbers should go up anyways because it's almost the weekend and more people (hopefully) will play the demo

What a joke next time market your on game and don't lie about spamming 300k downloads. It clearly says in the terms and conditions of the official site that it only counts each unique ea account how can you spam that ?

The counter doesn't count how many people actually played the demo but how many people pressed the link to download the demo, which lead to a lot of people spamming the link to increase it. In truth, we're probably under 500k people who played the demo itself and I'm not even sure it counts the people on the consoles.
What? Why would it do that? They said it counted the people with EA accounts who downloaded? How'd we find that out?
