Either the numbers came in from the mirrors or the counter is messed up. I doubt the download manager could handle 500K downloads since yesterday.

It's been spammed since at least 600k, increments of between 300 to 400 every 15 seconds, it's remained too constant to be anything but spam.

Outside of an internal hack on the website to generate the counter, I don't think you can fake legitimate EA accounts, and even so, if you could it would just show the strange persistence of fans to get two relatively useless items in the long run.

I agree.  I was shocked when I woke up this morning and found it had gone up by half a million since yesterday.  Something's definetely wonky, again.

If I was a hacker, I'd hack the site and keep rolling back the counter to 0, or 150, or something like that, just to royally ****** everyone off. lol

Sigh. I honestly don't get what halfwits like this want to achieve...I want to legitimately see that counter get to 1 million and feel good that one of my favourite longtime RPG makers has reaped a large amount of respect from people trying their demo out...not because some idiot with half a brain wants to tamper with it to get his goodies.

I mean sure...I'd like the goodies too, but I want to see it fairly earned...and I really hope we're not penalised for the actions of some random fool tampering with the counter, if it is indeed the case this time around like it was the other day.

I guess only time can tell once someone from EA/BioWare checks it.
