Yeah,  they could do that, but the numbers would still be skewed, because you need to be logged on to the site while playing to get the reward item, and  you can't expect everyone who downloaded the demo to do that.

I'm confused.  Where does my "venting" say anything about consoles or PCs? (If you bothered to notice I have a Witcher 2 signature.  Pretty obvious I am a PC gamer.) o.O

 Do not think he was aiming that comment directly at you, but directing at those that are console gamers Ie using "you" as "those" console gamers.

Oh, c'mon. People aren't honestly spamming for these lame DLC bonuses. If they're going to cheat to get these DLC, then they'll cheat to do what the DLC does anyway, so I doubt both are happening. You're just upset that your promotional campaign didn't last as long as you wanted. Just call it quits already! 1million people played! World wide, that's an easy amount. Next time, pick a higher number.

And just what would be the point of their efforts? For a couple of tomes? To see if they can? Or is it simply to create something else you have to worry about, while taking valuable time away from ensuring a successful launch of DA2?

It does.  AFTER they adjust it.  Until said adjustments, it includes duplicate downloads.

I'm wondering this myself, especially since not everyone is downloading from the BioWare site.

Is downloading for two different platforms to try it out on both but logging in using the same EA/BioWare account considered spamming? If so, I think people who own multiple platforms, like myself, may be inadvertently causing this. If this is the case, then the problem is not with us, but with your method of counting the downloads.

Generally a person buys a new computer every 3 years, gamers every 2, and more experienced gamers simply buy new components for their custom-built or store-bought but enhanced purchase every year or point a DirectX or high-intensity game comes out.

I am glad Bioware is deleting the duplicates, cheating for something such as the two books is just stupid.



And on another note reading this thread the amount of elitism from some of you PC Gamers makes me sick get off the high horse we are no better then console gamers, you bring shame upon your PC gaming brethren acting in such a manner.
