I could be wrong about this but, it might not be BioWare's idea to keep silver members from downloading the demo. Microsoft or XBOX Live (not sure which so pardon me) don't allow silver members to download the demo for a week.

That being the case BioWare might extend the time period for the 1 million downloads till the end of March 1st when the demo goes silver.

I'm not to sure about my facts so please don't hold it agents me.

You are correct about the Gold Exclusive being Microsoft, it's their policy and the only way Bioware could change that would be to release the demo a week sooner, then Microsoft would have it available to everyone a week later.

No, that's accurate... I think people are more upset that Bioware obviously knew about this but didn't take it into account when setting up the dates for the... what is this, a contest?  Marketing stunt? Whatever it's called... promotion!  Yes.

Then again, we don't actually know if it ends as March 1 begins or at the end of the day... so maybe Bioware did take it into account and provide 1 extra day... we'll find out soon enough.

Thanks, I wasn't sure if I was right. Good to know I guess, personally while having the two books give XP and gold would have been nice I'll just be happy to figure out how you get the five items from the facebook game Dragon Age legends.

Normally if I can't find a good use for a DLC item I'll sell it for a good amount of gold, or I can't use it because I'm not high enough.

The counter on the page is just a little javascript click counter.  I.e., it's not accurate, and never has been.  Also, easily manipulated by starting a bunch of downloads, which is what happened and why they rolled it back a couple of time .  To reflect the actual logins, which are what really count, they'll have to do that manually.  The page itself says "The demo download counter will be updated to include PC, Xbox 360, and PS3 totals as they are made available."  I.e., whenever they get around to actually validating.

If we are talking human nature, than yes out of those 8 individuals some of them will be upset..

Anyways, just go back and read some of the other post, its clear I do have valid arguement.

Your entire argument appears to be "I want a shiney gold star despite not having earned it and if I don't get this thing I wasn't promised, I'm going to be so mad." Sorry if I can't work up anger at Bioware over them doing exactly what they said they're going to do.

i agree with rosaaquafire if we don't get the million then we didn't live up to are end and don't have any right to demand the items. I hope they give use until the end of march 1 to get the xbox downloads

If the counter doesn't say 1 million on March 1st, then we don't get the items. It's mentioned twice.

Yeah there already in the game already just send the signal when DA2 comes out. it would be a waste of time and resorces to just leave then in the game as data....

They're not "in the game already" on PC, unless things have changed drastically from DA:O (all the pre-order bonuses were actually DLC).  I'm not a console guy, but I'd expect the same to be true on consoles.  If you're saying that it would be a waste of time and resources to create the DLC...creating something simple like this would take about 30 minutes for the artwork, and <5 minutes for the scripting...and given previous (lack of) QA, that means about 1 man-hour total...
