Are you honestly going to be pissed at him? Cause if so you have some pretty epic entitlement issues ...
And really, Rosa, that's the heart of this entire back and forth in this thread. A whole lot of people with some seriously epic entitlement issues. Bioware did a great job naming the page you use for downloads "User_Entitlement.php" it really should say "Luser_Entitlement.php" instead. The older I get the more epically amazed I am at the pure level of entitlement there is in the world. I honestly think like a whole generation of kidlets didn't have their mommies and daddies ever saying no to them at all, or something.
Would I like to get the books? You bet, it seems cool. Am I worried about it? No. Am I going to be all broken up and emo about it if I don't? Nope. I will still play DA2 and still enjoy it (or it seems like I will, from the demo). I whole lot of people need some Xanex around here.

I'm not angry at anyone or blaming anyone, just trying to remind everyone that it's a game, guys. We all love Dragon Age, obviously, and if we don't get the items we'll all be a tad bummed, but the important thing to remember is to buy the game (if you haven't already made pre-orders and the like, probably most of us have) and support Bioware, and have a blast come March 8th. I just went back and ran the last 3-4 hours of DAO today to get my "final" save (finally made up my mind how I wanted my "original" run through to end). And I'm gonna start on the "side" DLCs and Awakening, so I can have an import ready for 2. Primarily, just sit back and have a good time.

You mean the childish bickering over a couple of Digitial pixels and code, that is also being fed by trolls like rosa?
Seriously, just drop this pointless discussion before the thread gets locked cuz of it.

I think you underestimate just how involved artwork and coding actually are.ValentineMSmith wrote...
creating something simple like this would take about 30 minutes for the artwork, and <5 minutes for the scripting...and given previous (lack of) QA, that means about 1 man-hour total...

The real problem if they don't give us the items is that they get the whole online community here excited about getting some free bonus items and then only to say 'No sorry you didn't do good enough' even though we can only do so much. It seemed like a lot to ask 1 million downloads. And it's hardly our fault if it doesn't reach that. So I imagine there will be a lot of pissed off fans if they don't give the items to us.
Maybe it would of reached 1 million if the demo was:
A) better
Bioware interest a fixed number of gamers because they have their specific style which doesn't please everyone,so no amount of mashing or "visceral combat" will change that.

Also a friend of mine who owns a PS3 can't seem to find the demo download of the game. I don't own a PS3 so I'm helpless to point to the right direction.

The sad part is that Xbox silver members can't download the demo until March 1, makes me wonder why.
Standard Microsoft practice. Silver members have to wait a week before they can download new demos.

Edit: nevermind, I saw it: *Offer expires March 1, 2011.
Well, if they had released the demo for all platforms for free right from the start without requiring any special membership and stuff (I heard something about xbox) they might have reached it.

1 hit per account.LukaCrosszeria wrote...
You can only get 1 hit for each platform for your EA account right? I downloaded it on both my PS3 and my pc.
logging in and playing the demo gets you a hit.
doing it again with the same account does not do a thing.

I'm sure that EA and MS formed some kind of deal for this as an incentive to get Dragon Age fans with silver memberships to upgrade to gold. The March 1st timing is surely no coincidence. MS has really been spitting on the whole of the gaming communtiy with these kinds of tactics. I am sure it is also the reason that we don't see the max settings PC screens for DA2, and Crysis 2 as well. MS does not want people to buy these games on the PC instead, and they know that it is getting to a point now where the X360 just cant keep pace with the PC in terms of visuals.
