I'm still puzzled as to why it would be in my interest to make a seemingly already easy game EVEN EASIER by getting an xp and money boost simply because 1 million people managed to download the demo.

Serves EA and BioWare (whichever is responsible) right that this probably won't work out

Seriously though i am over it now. Out of my hands if we get it or not, so no point stressing over something I have no control over.

Will it spoil my gaming experience, no it wont. There will be xp and gold aplenty I am sure.

Well, if they had released the demo for all platforms for free right from the start without requiring any special membership and stuff (I heard something about xbox) they might have reached it.

I'm sure that EA and MS formed some kind of deal for this as an incentive to get Dragon Age fans with silver memberships to upgrade to gold. The March 1st timing is surely no coincidence. MS has really been spitting on the whole of the gaming communtiy with these kinds of tactics. I am sure it is also the reason that we don't see the max settings PC screens for DA2, and Crysis 2 as well. MS does not want people to buy these games on the PC instead, and they know that it is getting to a point now where the X360 just cant keep pace with the PC in terms of visuals.

I wouldn't put it past them. MS and their cultural imperialist tendencies really get up my nose. I hope for Bioware that we make it, the items are nice but really it would be such a boost for them.

The items are just incentives but not really a need; it doesn't really matter to those who already likes the game and pre-ordered, anyhow. Also, one can't really force other people to download a 1.9gb demo and at the same time make them fill up an account to EA. If they do not have any interest in the first place, you'll just end up annoying everyone you tried to shove the game up their noses.

ANYWAY

I was all bummed out earlier that we're not going to make it, but you know what, I'm over it now! I personally I did all that I could and I'm happy with my hard work. I got 6 people to download who wouldn't have normally, and my boyfriend pimped it out on his podcast, so maybe that'll get a few more. I'm still hoping we'll get to 900, but if we don't, I still think we did a bang up job and we all deserve our Hayder's Razors.

And two of the people who I forced CONVINCED to play the demo wouldn't have bought the full game without it, and now they're going to, so I think the promotion was a success in all the right ways, 1mil or not.

How much time do we have left? Until the first of March acording to what timezone? Or until the end of the 1st of March? Who knows, maybe we will still manage. If it is until the end of March 1st, maybe Xbox silver users will raise the numbers.
Can anyone tell me exactly when the promotions ends? And how much time do we still have?

Well it is 8:02PM GMT+8 timeline here and I know for a fact that 9am PST is five hours from now.  xD

I'm not bothered about the xp or gold (infact i'd rather not have that) I just want the 'falvor text/fluff' or codex entries that would come with the books. A little extra lore for Thedas.

3.  Select Newest Demos

People have tried that and have said that it doesn't work.
