After some quick calculations ive estimated that we will fall short of our goal of 1million downloads.

The reason for this being? I fear that people might of lost interest in doing this after they cut it by 300,000, DL's. However, we are really close now. We cant just give up! We can do this. Dont let bioware's failing be our failing.

I say bioware should just accept that the 1mil line was broken and just give them. Granted I haven't followed the discussion about this. So what if few hundredthousands were fake downloads? I dont think you lied about that though. I think you lied about why you really removed the 300,000k. I think that
once we hit the 1million k you realized we would lose our incentive to keep advertising for you, and so you decided to lower it by 300,000k and make up an exscuse.

Or possibly you never planned on giving us the items in the first place!!!!!!!!!

However, these are just theories. I think the most likely theory is my first theory, and that you also plan on giving us the items anyway in order to not anger us, which would be very wise of you to do. I like many other of your community can be a very vengful person. Like Anders i will go to any length to make sure i have justice.--Meaning i might not even buy the game. (I'll have to get it from my friend for free once hes done with it)




Edit : I have recently come acrose more information that dwarfs my original "conspiracy theory" Bioware's counter does seem to be affected by the DL's. Their is another counter that is conting if correctly though. We dont have this correct number, and we can only assume that the number their showing is close to what it really is.

please note that the unlocks are not triggered by that counter itself,
we will still be manually unlocking the items. And to keep it fair and
as accurate as we can, daily we are manually revising the counter
numbers to include updates from other download reports we get, such as
console numbers and external partner PC sites. {smilie}

So we
will likely see more flux in the counter - we apologize, as the spamming
of it somewhat diminishes the value of the counter - but still believe
it meets the original intent to have something simple to help give you
all some feedback.

Having said all that - I think we're trending
very well towards the goal when looking at 'real' numbers, and keep in
mind we still have a full weekend ahead. I sense more goodies for folks
in the near future. {smilie}

I don't think they'll do that. Maybe just give the items anyway to the people who did play the demo or extend the deadline. They might also keep their word and post a bid sadface on the page

Hi guys,
I've promised myself not to download this demo, cause I wanted to avoid all kind of spoil.
but from all the feed back concerning this demo, I now wonder myself if I should cancel my preoder or not.
One thing I can't stand is the hype and the buzz with this countdown, so wether or not the score is achieve, BioWare is still winning , cause I strongly believe the main goal of this is to make a maximum of flood about DA2.And indeed, it has been done.

The other thing that tell me to cancel my pre-order is about the "free given tracklist" with the SE.But it appears this tracklist is not full as there will be more tune to download after the launch of the game.And this time, it won't be a free gift.So, hey, it's just like a false promise Bioware has told us.Is it a righteous way to give thanks to the BioWare's fanbase?I do not believe.

So my feeling is that "all the story has not been told" as we are granted a limited acces to this tracklist.And I just can't see why we won't have a free and fully acces to this tracklist for those who bought the SE.
I hope I'm wrong, and with all the respect due to the BioTeam, but I consider all the effort they did is like to make us march in order, step after step, DLC after DLC.It was an intelligent promotionnal campaign, but the so numerous DLCs have killed the faith I had in this game.Why not have choose to include them in the basic version of the game.I'm the kind of man who believe it's hiding something under : prepare yourself to bank for an armada of DLCs once the game will be launch.

So now, I'm downloading the demo, but my heart, my soul and my faith in DA2 have passed away, as I fear I do not belong to the main customers targeted with this game, clearly not the same as it was for Origins with all the changes that have been done regarding Origins "Fight like a spartiate bla bla bla".

And for this thread, you will have ovastand, I don't want to march to raise the score to the million, but just to make an appreciation of the gameplay as this demo does not offer all the aspects of the final game

I have downloaded and played the Dragon Age 2 Demo and I am disapointed with the game so far for these reasons:
1: after playing DAO the start of Dragon age 2 is wrong in many ways why not let the soon to be champion of the blight be the main person no it starts as lotheren is being distroyed while the DAO player is doing quest and flementh They messed her up for folks comming from DAO so to call it Dragon age 2 should be like 1.5 or something
some one who is new to the game never played the first will enjoy this game but its a reall wash out ayt least the start in Demo for a veteran player of the First DAO
