But I'll tell you, right now it's really a major traffic jam. I'm downloading on a cable-modem T2+ connection, and I'm seeing over 3 hours of download time remaining (it's been downloading for 20 minutes already).

poor DL speed, i'm only getting between 60-85 KB/sec
over a 7 hour DL.

As of this minute, 42,380 and steady. Probably because the servers are maxed.
My DL speed is steady at 130KB/sec.

heads up to any bioware staff:
in Aus XBL arnt hyping the demo its not on the highlights or the Main game market place page
unless people are specifically looking for demos they wont see it!
its on the far right tab in demo's next to 2 bike racing demo's
i dont that many xbl friends to get the hype going myself

Count is steady, as of this minute, at 42,380. The servers are probably maxed out.

Ease up on the criticism folks.
At the 10 minute mark, the counter (which appears to be gone now) was just under 25k and well on it's way to 30k. EA's done a spectacular job from what I can tell, I got my DL started at about 1 minute after and it hasn't crashed, but the speed does seem to be dropping steadily.
When my DL first started it was pretty much dead in the water (all the connection requests I suppose) but once the server caugh up I was at 377kb/sec, but it's gradually fallen to about 173kb/sec now.

Mine started out at blazing speed and told me 9 minutes to download. Now it slowed down to dial up speeds. I am getting 120kbs and those 9 minues turned to 4 hours +

I managed to download it really quickly the first time. I got over 5MB's a sec mostly. But it was corrupted..typical! Downloading again and it's going freaking slowly. Saying it's going to take 2 hours or more

Yep, the counter's gone from the page, and like you, my DL speed's dropped off, too. Now down to 115 kb/sec; 4 more hours of DL time.

Eeps!! We broke their servers took 15 minutes after I heard the download was up just to get the page to show for me to click the download link. Even the forums started giving me a "connection reset" page or a "servers are unavailable due to maintance or Extreme Load" page a lot haha.
