If you do use a site other than Bioware still DL from the Bioware site. When it is done play it through to make sure it counts towards the 1,000,000.

If your a fileplanet subscriber, you can download the demo pretty damn fast, getting it at 2.4 mbs.

Reinstalled it, did nothing. I went to check my program folder and the missing component is actually there. WTH?

Downloading. Though I am in the middle of some heavy overclocking and prime95 blend testing. Had to restart download couple of times now due to crash so it might take a while before I finish, let alone start playing...

I am getting the same error. I re-installed & rebooted and nothing fixed it. I guess thats what I get for cercumventing Biowares site. I am sure there is a fix if I did mroe research. Anywho, I am goin to at least try and finish DA-O & DA-A .

i got a good DL from gamershell.com.

graphic settings sere set not to go above medium.

inventory seemed to be locked, not sure why.

didn't have time to fool around, off to work now, bye all.

Okay so now I've finished the demo.. twas.. allright. Better than I thought but I still dislike the battle animations, which looks far to unrealistic for my taste But the rest is great.



One thing thou.. when u finish, ur supposed to get a sword or sumthing if Iäm correct? Where do u see it? Inventory? Profile page?

Judging from the filename, you are propably missing some Directx9 files. Download dxwebsetup from somewhere, like Microsofts site or something. If you are using Vista or Windows 7, while majority of DirectX9 files should be exists there might be runtimes missing that some games require. This isnt some obscure bug, I had to do this myself some weeks ago though I cant remember what game or program required them.

*edit* Ninja'd. Link above is exactly the fix I mentioned. While Windows VIsta and 7 has later DIrectX 10 and 11, a lot of DX9 runtimes are missing and need to be installed.

OMG, I think I will wait to download the demo. I keep getting old fashioned dial up speeds on the download. Twice now it stopped after with only a few mb. BGut last I saw it was over 265,000 downloads.

I am on xfinity and I can't download the demo. It says download complete after 505 mb. It's done the same thing to me, so obviously the link on Bioware's site is broken. You need to put it on steam. I never have this problem from steam.

I'll try later tonight, but if it does the same thing, I'm going to be even more ticked than I am now.

I couldn't even finish the demo, that's how disappointed I felt playing it. The demo itself looks uglier than DA:O (since for me, if I tried to render in DX11 for higher graphical settings, I get bugs galore) and the lack of overhead view hurts tactical positioning. I may cancel my pre-order, but I'm willing to wait until it ships to see reviews.

Direct from the bioware site.. after 4 hrs of downloading it finishes to give me an NSIS error. Im not sure I want to go through another 4 hrs just for a demo.

Ok found out the download finished at 1.7GB  and to DL is supposed to be 2gb.  *growls in frustration*

Dl the demo in jsut under an hour. Such a wait for 1(literally) min of bugs and busted custcnes.

Bug 1: soundsm issing during cinematic

Bug 2 : Sound out of sync

Bug 3: Jittery framerate

Bug 4: Games crashes after the ogre battle

Bug 5: Cant play demo coz apparently I need a CD to play it (Error message CD not found please enter the CD)lol

I've finished the demo for PC and was awesome. Absolutely NO BUG NO CRASHES NO PROBLEM. Compliment Bioware another time you did a wonderful job!!!!!

I used a download manager (Internet Download Manager) and I was able to succesfully download from dragonage.com, even with my connection maxed out.

Meh. If I can choose DX11 rendering and High settings through the game menu AND without hacking INI files, then I'm entitled to my opinion regarding the demo and how ugly it looked.
