Having some really odd issue with even opening the installer iv never encountered with any other software.



When i press the downloaded file from chrome nothing happens, i go to the folder and attempt to open it and my explorer.exe crashes or nothing happens at all. Tried opening all other files etc in the same folder and works like a charm.



Ugh and iv been looking forward to it for like 3.5 hour ;~;

Can someone who completed the demo tell me if you get the Razor for all platforms? Because I have a PS3 but I live on Brazil, and the PSN store is not available here, so the only way I can get it is playing the demo on my pc, but if it won't be available for all platforms when I complete the demo then I'll be sad .

I played the demo on the PC and the item unlocked only for the PC, not all platforms.

I've finished the demo for the PC and I'm disappointed.



I've played through DA:Origins & Awakening a few months ago and started playing Mass Effect 2 (after playing the demo which was great) to shorten the time until I can play Dragon Age 2. I've preordered the game.



I like the way the story is pushed forward & the radial menu is ok for the dialogs (as it was in Mass Effect 2), but there are several points which at the moment feel like this will destroy the atmosphere in the game:

- the combat is to fast and the enemies most of the time are a joke (If I want to play a hack and slay game, I could buy D3 or play a Browser MMO game). The combat within Mass Effect 2 was better balanced!

- Does the game always reload as often as in the demo?

- I hope with the high graphics settings the game will look better

- I can't scroll the camera when I reach the sides of the screen (only turning is available)

- I can't select a party memeber which had a level up within combat :-(

- ....



These are just the first impressions, maybe after sleeping over it the things will look different, but at the moment I'm thinking about to cancel my pre-order and wait for an ultimate edtion or wait for the first 2-3 patches of the game.

ROFL, I am downloading the Demo through steam at 3.3mbs !!! I tried Bioware, = fail, then Filesplanet, was great but don't like new stuff like that. Steam = awsomesauce.

I thought game looked pretty good, you should be able to select party members to level up in combat, I don't know how to do it on pc, but I was able to do it on 360. As for combat, that seems a common message but considering 1/3 of your game time was at a maxed out level character against toy darkspawn, it would be like someone playing the final battle in the Siege of Dene rim and complaining that the darkspawn all go down in one hit. I think fools rush in was more typical of regular combat, and that pace was fine for me. Plus you are on normal difficult, there are higher levels for those who want it.



I find it so ironic that every time a new game comes out, one crowd complains to hard they die all the time, and other crowd it's way to easy. Guess you can never please all the people all the time.

Not sure we are gonna get there, I mean I'm eager as anyone, but this is the day people will rush out and download. I mean come morrow morning we will see where it is, but I'm guessing it will hit half mil or 750 way ti's currently going.

WOW, this Demo is amazing. Example: after the main cut seen you fight a battle. you go through your abilities wich are awsome one of wich is whirlwind (as a warrior) . I struck a line of enemies with it and pressed spacebar to pause. OMG I see bone flying blood and all. It's like physics. Even without Dx1 in the Demo it is AWSOME !!!

Ja ściągnąłem w 15 min.a grałem 2 godz. Nie mogę pokonać Ogra z bandą pomiotów . Grałem na próbę Wojownik z tarczą . Teraz spróbuję z bronią dwuręczną . Trochę Paladyn ma za elastyczną zbroję . Zgina mu się na piersi jak by był w dresie . Ale to szczegół . Fajne jest drzewko rozwoju . Nic tylko czekać na pełną wersję .

I have a problem with the game after install - I just get a 'd3dx9_43. dll not found' message when I try to play.
It tells me this may be fixed if in reinstall...3 reinstalls later, still won't work...
Any suggestions?

I am concerned that, that info will be sent to a third party I don't want having that info. Take some time, get a freea ccount with Steam, download the client then download Dragon Age 2 Demo in 1/4th the time here.

while I was sitting waiting on the 3. download, I was looking at the COUNTER. I fell like into a trance, hypnotized looking at the didgets changing.

A terrible feeling, like locked in place... I must look more :-)

No worries - sorted (directx 9 issue) - thanks all the same.
Fixed it by downloading & installing Dx9 from the Microsoft download site - took just 5 mins.

What I was trying to say is " don't use download links from any other site other than Bioware & or Steam". try what I said about getting a free Steam account and all. That Demo works no problem. Creating the Steam account & installing the software is a heck of a lot shorter then waiting here. If you do, do this and your connection slows down just restart Steam. That puts you back at the top.
