I think even if it doesn't reach a million we're going to get the items anyway. They'll say "Oh, well we got more than we'd hoped for and as a thank you we will still be handing out one of the books (maybe both, who knows)" because if we don't reach the million (and we probably won't if the pace continues like this) then they'll say "Sorry folks, but thank you for bringing us so many wonderful downloads!" and it'll all seem like a wasted effort just to boost the xbox live profit for switching users to gold and also boosting their fat egos. I'm gonna be optimistic and place my bets on the former. I am not optimistic enough to think that we're gonna reach the million though. Not after the 300 k decrease which seems like more of an estimated punishment rather than the actual amount of cheated downloads. Can't say for sure though. :/

So 500k+ fans cared enough to download the demo - a few people decided to spam, and that was fairly *hacking cough* dealt with. So, over the next 5 days, we have to troll the hell out of our friends with promises of Biowares 'greatness' in order for a chance to get two relatively pointless little bits of DLC...?

i didnt see if this is confirmed, but if i download it on my pc and get the game on my xbox which only has a silver account do i still get the razor if its registered on the same email account?

You get the knife on your ACCOUNT which means if you acess it on the xbox later on you can use it.

I think not.  I downloaded on pc but also have a ps3 and xbox connected to the same account.  i only got the entitlement for the razor on pc.  If you play the demo on your xbox as well I think you'll get it then.

I wonder... do you count the downloads from ALL the mirrors? like Steam and other sites/programs that let you download the demo?

As far as I am aware what counts is when you log into your Bioware account when you're in the demo.

In Dragon Age: Orgins making two items like this would take 5 minutes when using the toolset. Too bad Dragon Age 2 doesn't have one right? Just sayin'.

Razer (the sword) isn't conected to the Call to Arms deal, so this is off-topic, but assuming your playing the demo when logged in, the sword will unlock for whatever console you beat the demo on.  For instance, if you beat the demo on the PC, it will unlock for the PC only.  However, if you have Xbox Live Silver, I wouldn't worry about it too much - you can just download the demo in a week, and get the sword then - that DLC deal lasts until the end of May.

However, the Call to Arms involes just downloading the demo.  Whether this ticks due to just physically downloading the demo, or maybe you need to sign into your BSN account while in-game, or maybe you need to actually play the demo a little bit (or even complete it) - no one really knows for sure.  It's total represents all 3 consoles (PS3, XB360, and PC). This ends March 1st , in ~4 days...so, Xbox Live Silver users can't contribute to this, unless they upgrade to gold.

I don't mean to bring down 'morale', but 500k is the majority - all the hype, all the advertisements...thats what its worth...and Bioware (or rather EA) is once again wanting to turn their fanbase into marketing tools...personally, I'm not a tool - if you all don't mind behaving such, then thats your choice...

I am downloading it now. Being used as a marketing tool doesn't really appeal to me, however, I do wish to obtain those rather useless looking items, and I want to help other people obtain them too, so a marketing tool is what I shall be.

Someone mentioned if the pre-orders from Steam would be getting the Black Emporium. The answer is no if you did not pre-order it by January 11 or 12th I forget what it was. If you did it after that date then no you would not be an original purchaser. An " Original Purchaser" is someone who pre-ordered the game, especualy if a pre-purchase by date was set. If for some reason you can preorder it now and still get it I will cancel my preorder right friggin now and get it through Steam asap! I don't think Steam had it at back then. I mean if there is a way to transfer my preorder to Steam so I can Download it at midnight then that would be awsome ! I dought it though.

Unless you have two differnt EA accounts associated with different email addresses, this will only count as ONE d/l.

Check the "Call to Arms" page,   You must play the demo while logged-in to your account to have it "credited", and only one time per EA account... counts.

someone screwed up hacked demo and added more numbers than what was there. they cheating the system. hacking idiots use smalls to cheat not 300k duh!!!!
