This is... so not true. The Javascript used for the counter add automatically 1 each time someone press the download button no matter what. It's not by playing the demo link with a EA account that you add 1 to the counter.
This is the script for the counter. Seriously they're is no protection againts spammers or anything else or EA account require in order to download. The JavaScript code dictates.

Most likely... But I think BioWare/EA/Whatever should just drop it and let people get their precious books. They only had to do a better job with the counter.

That's true; in fact the problem is when someone create more than one account just to download the demo and increase the counter; but, of course, all this fake accounts have the same ID.xHezz90 wrote...

Personally i dont want the damn items. Whats the point in getting them when the only effort thats been made is people abusing the hell out of something.

Yeah you have a point, also it's not exactly fair on people if they keep dropping it because people are being dumb and spamming it. It isnt exactly our (meaning people who only done it once) fault.

Like I said, the fact that it was flying up by 100 every second a while ago (around the 900K's is just crazy. Something doesn't feel right about how fast the counter rose up. And besides, on the first day I can understand about 300K downloads, it makes 'sense' what with all the people who bought DAO/A wanting to try out the demo but... yeah... this does feel odd, I mean it's already at 1.07 million!

Guys, Bioware messed up the counter, it reads how many pc downloads have been made, not how many people have signed into their bioware account, thats why it's so easy for spammers to mess with it. Bioware will just take of 400,000 or something like that again.
