You know what a demo is, right? Right???

Apparently i don't.  So, no, I won't be playing.  Same reason I rarely play betas for games I know I'm buying anyway, all I'm doing is spoiling myself.  I want my first character to be someone I can stick with if I want to without having to replay and for the experience to be fresh the first time.  I know a little from the forums, but not much beyond "darkspawn come to Lothering and you must escape and wind up on a ship after you do".  The details, I don't know and don't want to.

Each to their own, I'm glad others will enjoy it, but eh, I'll pass.  And a bit of experience or gold isn't a motivating factor, really.

i doubt we will sucessed great nerd hype there BIOWARE but you could have at atleast made the goal reachable 500, 000 maybe but a million?............for a demo .............8 days?

Hell yeah.  I have every intention of downloading it for my PS3 and 360.

Chris, John, or someone else in the know. How big is the download? I actually have a friend who wants to download it, but he lives in the middle of nowhere and only has dial-up. His workplace actually lets him download stuff, but it can't be ridiculously huge.

aw, at least it'll count twice for me since my 360 and ps3 ea accounts are different for some reason.

obivsely the first 1,000 to download will be in the United states & there is alot of people in the mainland of the maker of dragon age 2. it would be unlucky for me since I am in Australia. it properly mid-night I have tafe the next day. I believe presley meant the extra 2 items were due 1 March but we still get the first item expires 31 march as it will processed dont think you can change that.

For me part of the Demo is trying it out to see if I like it ... otherwise "what's the point". Before I see it for myself and determined that I like it I can't/won't recommend it. Afterwards and if I like what I see it is something different so.

Same here. I fondly remember my first playthroughs of every Bioware RPG going back to BG, and none of them were demos. If they had been, I don't think those memories would be the same.

So what I will do is download the demo and log in with it, which seems to be all that's necessary to help meet the one million downloads goal. Hopefully, I will have already completed the demo content within the full game before the Hayder's Razor deadline on March 31st, so will be able to revisit the demo in order to unlock the item for subsequent playthroughs.

I want to download the demo because I'm not sure whether I want to buy the game. But now I think that I'll do whatever I can to prevent the demo from phoning home to EA central.
