I'm still holding out for 1 mill though.
Edit: well, i've now mentioned this 'Call To Arms' thing both on the LucasForums and on the XanderZone Yahoo group. Hopefully, that will get us a few extra points on the counter.

If Bioware really wanted a proper Call to Arms they should have made it so that the silver account holders would be included.

Honestly I doubt they'll hold out on the DLC if they fall just short of a mil, besides they can manually unlock the content whenever they please so even if the numbers don't hit a mil by the 1st they could still unlock it after the 1st if new numbers come in.

I wonder how the other Dragon Age community hubs are doing and thinking about this event?
Well if you still want to know. This is the Demo info page for the Dragon Age wikia. The comments at the bottom are discussing what is happening.

the point that i like was the fighting system for the animation(Origin animation was a bit too soft) and that we can change target while doing a combo. the dialogue system remind me Mass effect.
realy good job

To me, this sounds more like a case of "we may not reach 1,000,000 downloads right away, but once the xbox silver downloads are added we might suddenly end up at a million and a half afterall".mcneil_1 wrote...

I think that the 1st march will be included, so we have one day left; anyway the only chance to reach 1 million is that at 9a.m. Xbox silver will be able to download and login, than we can just hope that they are more that 100k!xHezz90 wrote...
We Need 132133 downloads, anyone still think we're going to make it? lol. Ah well I still think we have done very well. Not sure what time it is anywhere else but it is 10:57pm on 28th Feb here so it is almost over.
By the way, I think too we've done very, very well; if I'm not wrong Origins sold 3 milliions copies in 2 years, so donwloading 850k in 4 days is a great result! But I think also that is almost impossible to reach 1000k!

Yeah I mean fair enough if 1st is included, but I mean we will have to hope that 100000 or so people download it on Xbox silver.
But yeah we have done very well in downloads for the demo. If what you said is true about the sales of Origins, then that makes the demo download amount all the more impressive.

However I think the MS policy (I guess it was theirs) to only let gold members download the demo for Xbox was really working againts this.

I only have Xbox silver, but I dowloaded the demo for PC. Even though my PC isn't good enough to actually play the game on anything above low I was at least able to log in to my EA account and contribute.

I agree. Even though I am a XBL Gold member, I think not letting Silver XBL members download the demo is leaving a sour aftertaste. Something that is free to the public on PCs, and on Xbox it is the total opposite.
It is almost like letting everyone with a driver's license eat free at a resurant and then turning away anyone else who does not have.
I really don't like it, and I think it is highly unfair. I feel bad for anyone who actually preordered the game and only plays on Xbox360 with a silver membership.
[Edit: Also free on PSN for PS3 users.]
[Side Note: I'm not saying the demo costs anything on Xbox Live. Merely stating that Free Members (Silver) cannot freely download the game like XBL Gold Members, PS3 or PC members can.]

BioWare is not responsible for how Microsoft manages their business, but I think Microsoft should've made an exception for this demo and offered it to Silver members.
I downloaded it on XBL and PSN I wonder if that was considered spam....whatever.

You do realize that march 1st will most likely be included in the count right? the 1st is the DEADLINE, that doesnt mean it's closing on the 1st. Which means, more than likely, it will be open all day tomorrow until around 11:59pm SBT so that the silver accounts can help boost the count along a bit before the flag is thrown. You can thank me later for being right

Don't get me wrong. I'm not attacking Bioware for Microsoft's mistake. However, reason would dictate that it's totally irrational for Microsoft to ignore Silver members like this.
I hate to say it but if Silver members were given the right to download the demo from Day 1, this would probably already be over. I was simply stating the obvious.

"...if we get over 1 million demo downloads and logins on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 combined BEFORE March 1st..."
This is straight off the Call to Arms page. Based on the wording the promotion ends tonight. No worries though, we can still make it.

Fair enough, and true enough lol. Still though, as Ive said, we'll still get the items regardless. The only difference will be if we get the goal = Free and if we dont = X amount of points lol.

BioWare knows they can nickel and dime me, so I'll purchase them if we don't unlock them and they go on sale.
