  The demo is available for free through both Silver and Gold Xbox Live
  accounts. The Xbox Live Gold account will have teh demo on February 22.
  The Xbox Live Silver account will have it one week late.

Hmmmm.....,

I'm seeing a lot of people saying how they're going to log in on multiple platforms, and have their buds download the game, etc., all in order to drive up the numbers.

That's all very... patriotic, I'm sure.

But I think a lot of people have missed a line on the Demo page: "To get your download counted, you will need to log into your EA account while playing the demo."

I mean, how many EA accounts does anyone have? More than one?

Because if you just log into the same EA account from different platforms, I'd think you'll still only be counted once, according to that.

And having all your friends download it? Unless they have an EA account, what good will it do?

I hate to rain on anyone's parade, but there it is.

It's not the download servers you should worry about (Those are spread out), but the auth ones. All those existing users trying to log in, new ea accounts created? What could possibly go wrong... x_x

Couldn't someone just make a bot to reset proxy - download - delete - repeat? Unless you need to jack in your EA account and that would seem stupid for a demo download.

Sets a goal that encourages us even further to get people involved in DA. Thus creating more buyers and fans which equals an even bigger budget for DA3.

The items are just a simple little gift, but if you want to get logical with it, then there's your answer.

I think it's stupid that MIcrosoft isn't letting Silver accounts have the demo until March 1st, as it should be up to EA/Bioware when their demo is available, not Microsoft and their greed about Gold getting demos early.



(Doesn't matter to me personally, I am rarely Silver for more than a month a year, but I've always thought the "Early Demo" thing was crap. They are trying to get people to buy the game, they should let EVERYONE have the demo ASAP to get maximum people hooked, not try to use it to sell more Gold memberships.)

Pretty sure you'd ave to be connected to Live for the data to be sent to EA.

I never play demos of games that I know I will be purchasing, because I like the entire game to be exciting and new when I sit down to play it the day it comes out. 

But I will download it (and log in once so it counts) for SWAG :innocent:
