Kudos to you for trying to close all the Gates! I actually played the Game for 100+ hours because I paid for it and was determined to find at least 5 minutes of Fun in it somewhere...never did

Being paid for enjoyment never works out, I find.   Anyway, I find that Oblivion always works better with mods: though I liked it at first, soon enough some of the frequent criticisms started to bug me too: bad levelling, silly economics, you name it.  Pretty much anything can be changed to your liking and its ease of fiddling about is probably what gave it such longevity for me.  Bioware take note: even when DA:O can be modded where Mass Effect can't, it's such a headache to accomplish anything.

That said, Nord faces will always require the application of eye-bleach after spending more than three seconds looking at one.

And, yeah, I think I felt rather strange for a long time after closing all those gates.  Mortals obviously shouldn't spend that much time in Oblivion's weird realms!  Though it did let me perfect the art of running away instead of engaging every nuisance I met in protracted combat.

Reminds me in Fallout 3 there is one strange thing I remeber off the bat, if you go out to pointlook out and just wonder around in the swamp every once in awhile if your lucky you'll see those hillbilly dudes gathering around a fire dancing and slaping there legs while one plays a hermonica, first time I sat there so amussed by it, then I killed them all.

Not just TFU fans, believe me. As a Star Wars fan (and by that I mean movies, books, games etc) I was insulted by the horrible lack of... well, everything. The trailers were longer than the actual game and they destroyed the story of the first one which had a lot of potential. I have no idea what was in their minds, because they couldn't have been this lazy without having some kind of problems within the company. Either that or they were playing a genuine bad joke.

Anyway, back on topic: Assassin's Creed. I don't really think it's bad in any way, but I just don't like playing it

I hated it but I don't really like Mario games. I just don't see the big deal its just another platformer.

 Yes, it's a lot like Elhanan's topic, but that's not the point. The point is that Modern Warfare 2 is a game that should have never came into existence. Hell, all my cousins do is play Call of Duty for 12 hours straight. God, maybe that's why I hate Call of Duty? Because one time, I was in the DR for three months and all my extended family did was play Call of Duty. When you see that game being played over and over again...Arrgh!

LOL with every topic you make you remind me more and more like that guy on the youtube comments in all caps going "JUSTIN BEIBER SUCKS WE WOULD BE SO MUCH BETTER WITHOUT HIM HE'S SO ANNOYING QQ"

part of what makes games great is that it allows us to do stuff we otherwise couldn't.  I pick up a real guitar and I don't know the first thing doesn't mean I shouldn't pretend besides anyone playing Guitar Hero have no illusions their just having fun.

You know scratch the above, I can see you using that and this starting an internet tough guy argument, so not the point, I never brag about huge ass kill scores I reach, or anything I do in a game like I did it IRL. And no When you go on and on and ON about how big of a kick ass rockstar you are because you can match up buttons, no thats not fun thats being a douche.

Call of Duty after it turned to modern warfare. Call me weird, but I actually enjoy WW2 shooters. It's the atmosphere and technology of that era that really draw me in. As soon as CoD became Modern Warfare, I was done with it. And EA had to go and do it to MoH as well. Stupid decision. Just supid.
I do however like Battlefield: Bad Company because it did not take itself too seriously and had the nifty destructible environments. And of course, they had to make it "darker and edgier" for the sequel. EA... *sigh*

Halo. I just don't see what's the big deal about it. And I really dislike it's visual design. Not appealing to me at all. And I'm not gonna even mention Master Chief appearing on countless "Best Characters" lists. Brings my ****** to a boiling point it does

EDIT: Forgot about WoW. I don't take kindly to it for killing off one of my favorite RTS series. Not to mention screwing up just about every single character.

Reading comprehension is weak in this one.  Did I just say that people playing it aren't claiming that their rockstars?
Do you know anyone who sits there with the Guitar Hero and says LOOK I can play Guitar now I'm A rockstar!!???  No I don't know anyone like that my point is people have fun doing different things your judgemental attitude makes you a douche.

Wow, lack of reading comprehension uhh? So nice of you to bring that up, so let me dumb this down some, given I said I didn't like those games because of people who do that. People like that are real I mentioned some Family members in that case, so yes I DO KNOW SOME, my point is I don't like those games as people here sit on there bums all day long, then do this crap in games and act like its either easy to do IRL, or that its a big deal they done it in a game. While not doing it at all in the REAL world. Just because YOU don't know of anyone like that doesn't mean there are none. People in your region may be different from mine, people in mine are sports junkies who's "gaming skills" (as in being able to play the game for real) often comes from what they see on TV or a gaming system, and it gets old fast, more so when same people play ONLY those games and give funny looks when you have no sports/band games yourself. People here get into fights over stupid little league baseball games.

Maybe you shouldn't be so pissy defending your little game and then attacking me infering I'm  a FPS player when in fact I called out some of those in my previous posts in this topic. Maybe its you sister that has some problems and seem intent on taking this too far. If you still have a problem send me a PM, this thread should not be locked over something so pointless and stupid.

I'ld say the Tenchu games can also be added here, it does well enough they keep making more, problem is, well they all are the SAME GAME for the most part minus looks or a few addons.

Borderlands. Bought the GOTY edition for the Duke Nukem: Forever demo pass, but the actual game... ugh.
The shooting is poor, most of the millions of guns are useless, and there's very little charm in what characters there are. Also, I had to put the difficulty down to easy just to get through some very early segments because it is absolutely CRITICAL that you level up before doing anything or your guns are useless and inaccurate and everyone kills you in two hits. I can't count the number of times I was killed by a regular bandit standing on a platform 100m away with a subachine gun that has pathetic stats when picked up.
I wanted so much to love it so much but sadly I wasn't impressed. Still, I will finish it, some day...
