Here's one that'll get me flamed for sure, but Planescape Torment.

I remember someone quipping that it should've been called "Lamescape Borement".  I haven't played it personally, but it's held in such almost sacred high-esteem by those for whom recent RPGs speciously aren't "deep" enough that it does rather invite criticism, however unreasonable...

I never got into Planescape. I think it was some of the weird story-telling decisions, mainly the floating skull.

The whole point of Planescape: Torment is to find the truth about PC's identity so in my opinion it's only reasonable to call him The Nameless One. I mean of course you could call him Steve if you want to but what's the point when, after you would have played the game some time, you would find out that his name is actually Joe? I also was a bit disappointed to realize that you can't change your PC's race or appearance, but in the end you get used to it when you take the game as it is presented to you.

Planescape: Torment is a great game storywise, on the other hand the graphics and gameplay elements aren't too impressive. I've never played it through so I can't judge it as a whole but what I've seen so far tells me that it's one of the better Interplay games. You should give it another try sometime, get outside of the Mortuary and explore some outside areas - it's really a pretty interesting world.

I don't know if I actually hate it, but Vampire:Bloodlines feels flat out unfinished. Even patched up the game's storyline seems to fall apart later on in the game, especially when you get to Chinatown.

Wow, what do you play? I kidding of course, but I like to know why you don't like some of those games? Also, there's not a single Wii game you like?

Whilst the Planescape setting uses the D&D rule sets it's a very different experience to D&D itself. The Nameless one took some getting used to but it's actually a far better choice than letting you create the character then dumping you in somwhere as bizarre as Sigil (which was toned down a lot in Torment).

Whilst now-a-days the whole Shepard/Hawke character setup would have worked with it, they had neither the tech nor resources to  pull it off back in 98.

Eh, your loss.

I tried to play Oblivion a couple years back and I just could not get into it. Everyone I work with sang its praises, but about the time it asked me to spin some kind of wheel thing in order to trade with a merchant I gave up.

Zelda is awesome, all the Mario games are fun, Mario Kart (although it's pretty much exactly the same as on N64), Super Smash Brawl, and even Wii Tennis is reason enough to own one :)
I don't own a Wii, but dismissing it all together is just stupid.

Games I never got into:
Crysis
The Witcher (although I should probably give it another chance)
Metro 2033
Fallout 3 ('ish... I started it and played it for a while, got stuck and kinda never returned).
Neverwinter Nights 2 (loved the first one to bits, and still play it once in a while, but the second one never captured me).

Your right. I was exagerrating. But lately, the consoles like the XBox 360 and the PS3 have better games, probably because the only good games they have aren't just exclusives like Nintendo.

I also find Fallout New Vegas to be very boring, just like Oblivion. Then again this is the only fallout game I've played maybe open world rpgs just aren't for me.

^ Agh! Same here. I've never enjoyed any of the Call of Duty games -- actually, with the rare exception of World at War. I didn't love that game, but I thought it was a little enjoyable.

Anyway, yeah, I've pretty much hated all Call of Duty titles; I enjoy the Bad Company games, and even PS3 exclusives like Resistance and Killzone, but I just couldn't get into Call of Duty...

Ugh. <_<

Red Dead Redemption. Though I don't necessarily hate the game, the difference between my "ehness", of the game to people "omg is so Fn great, lol", is pretty night and day. The game just didn;t do it for me. A sandbox title filled with nothing I actually wanted to do.

Call of Duty MW and Black ops, I got into a lengthy debate w/my 14 yr old stepson about it. He would if he could spend hour up hour playing that stupid stupid game. He just runs around talking smack and shooting people. I can see the fun of multiplayer, but that to me is boring. No story(he claims it does like 3hrs of story man)

GTA 4. Only drove around and smashed up cars, or stole cars. Boring.

Fallout 3 and Fallout NV. I know it is supposed to be ugly, but it grates on me. The scenery never really changes. Granted I tried very hard to like Fallout 3, even finished it and the expansions.... but ugh

Left 4 Dead2 is also a stinker. I loved the first game, it was scary, you never knew what was going to jump out and get you. But in the second one, to many special infected, it is frigging daytime most of the game, and it just didn't impress like the 1st. Also the HACKERS ruin both games....

TF2, I tried to play this, but feels so pointless... and once again hackers.

Everyone will probably hate me, but I just can't get in Baldur's Gate. I just keep telling myself that I have to play it since everyone loves it, but everytime I start, it doesn't grip me. And it doesn't have to do with graphics, I play a lot of old games.

Have you tried BG2?  I'd say it is the better game.  And what got me to play the first.

half life 2

yes, the atmosphere is slick,

no, the characters and story suck,

no, the combat is awful,

no, the puzzles are a pain in the ****** and mostly occur in situations you could get out of easily if you just had the ability to climb like any feckin five year old child.

rah!

I still don't see how it won game of the year. It was an okay game, but short of all of that what made me sell and not play the game ever again was the missions with his family, the ending and his Son, I just can't stand that boys voice I want to tie a noose around his neck and yank him off a wagon like so many of the NPC's I did that to.

WarioWare Smooth Moves

There are few games I really hate but I dislike Final Fantasy VII. I thought it was a huge step back from Final Fantasy VI. The characters were worse and the graphics were crap.

Another game I don't like is The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I tried to do a playthrough but there were just way too many small annoyances that kept adding up. That damn owl, thai fairie that won't shut up, a framerate of 20 fps and the camera that wouldn't cooperate. I think A Link to the Past, Wind Waker and Twilight Princess are brilliant games, but Ocarina is a very flawed and broken game. I do understand that it's revolutionary and I will not deny that it's an important part of video game history.
