"Well sir, this is what we like to call an ALIENWARE..."
that was my worst expirance in a electronics store ever. I just replied "I know, I have one at home" and walked off on him, lest I beat his brain in

Read what I wrote in the end of page one of this thread? I wrote that my local gamestop no longer allows Pre-orders of Ce's, because they do not know how many copies they get until they get them. They just settle it the old school "first come-first serve" style.
You're just ignorant.
So, you knew that there was no way the guy could tell you, but you asked him anyway? I assume just so you could have another 'lol gamespot employee sucks' comment to add.
Actually, I only wanted to know the price.

Yep, kids lol. I remember walking into a Gamestop (it was Babbage's back then) and ALL they had were PC games with a small section of N64 and PS1.
HEY ! I remember Babbages !
Doh ! I'm old.
Uhm .. if you have a relative working at Gamestop ... and he gives you the game before it's officially released...... (can he physically do that?) what kinda trouble does he get in?

So, after leaving out information, you resort to calling other forum members ignorant.Davidolowich wrote...

Hell, I can remember walking into an EB less than 4 years ago and this being the case. Anyone who says PC gaming isn't dying obviously hasn't bought their games in hardcopy for a good half decade.
Piddly little 2-sided rack, Pff.
I don't think any PC fan would disagree that PC gaming retail is certainly shrinking. The internet and DD has changed the way PC games get their games. Its unfortunate imo, but that doesn't mean the PC is dying. There used to also be stores that carried nothing but PC software, games only a part of that. Remember Egghead? lol I think stores such as Best Buy and the Internet have put an end to that, Best Buy does still carry a big PC section.

the store can get fined/he will get fired, or something else depending on the game.MadHatt3r wrote...

if stores in Australia sold DJ Hero before the release date they wouldn't give the whole store franchise Modern Warfare 2.

So the manager comes out and acts really intimidating and snotty to me, after I push the issue a little, as if I were a criminal for wanting to return a product that didn't work. That's gamestop for you; Selfish bastards first!
Yeah, so it's just a gamestore. I know that of the gaming geeks out there, there are plenty who are better people than that; why do the people who work retail in gamestores and technology stores always act like jerks?

Because most of the customers are jerks to people in retail game stores. Speaking from experience, you have no idea how condescending and holier-than-thou people can be when they come in and either think that they are god's gift to gaming, or gaming is below them and they are just there for their 5 year old.
I don't care if you're in MLG!
I don't care that you think gaming is a waste of time. On a related manner, do you realize you just insulted me?
