If you really think that ****** drunk utter failure of a mother in Dwarf Commoner origin is the BETTER mother then I'm afraid you have serious issues. Elanor only says "I love you" once...and GOD FORBID your moms allowed to say that EVER...I think you have unresolved issues with your own mother possibly or else you would realize a mom is allowed to say "I love you"...

No, but even if I did those mothers aren't quite the same thing.  Leandra Hawke actually lives past the first hour of the game.  I've had family in lots of rpg's, but they usually die and my character doesn't seem to care except for a few lines of dialogue they mutter before setting off on a grand adventure.  I think DA2 will be a nice change.

But anyways even before Noble mom knows anything bad will happen to her son she goes off all like" You good son, Don't scrape your knee haha!" and im just like <_<

I prefer my mom a bitter drunk who Says im stupid and inferior then that pushes me to prove her wrong!

Sorry for the double post; I was ninja'd and am bad at quoting things during editing.

I've played them briefly, but not as full characters and only once or twice.  I did not get that feeling from the Couslands on any level.  But if you want an affectionlessness mother, than I suspect you're in for disappointment.

It's ok to have affection, but to the extent the couslands had it made me uncomfortable.

And I'm sure that level of affection had nothing to do with the fact that the family was going through an emotional time as the patriarch and oldest son of the family were leaving for war. Same with the invasion of the castle by supposed friends and the murder of innocents, including a grandchild.

1.I wasn't in any danger, Mom gave me more love than fergus.

2.Dad was cool about it. but she had some justification there, it's preinvasion i had more problem with her personality.

And sometimes they do use same minor voice actors for similar roles,
For instance Steve blume mostly voiced hard as nail dwarves, and i'm  sure one VA voice the majiorty of elves.

Dude...she said it ONCE...your clearly exagerateing to try and reinforce an already disturbing argument. And by the way...yes you are in danger...your suppose to be left alone to govern the entire Teyrnir until your father returns...any number of things can happen when people realize the main body of power...along with the means to deal with it...are gone...like your father says "You know what they say about mice when the cat is away, yes?" On top of that...it's freakin Darkspawn...the last time humans saw a large amount of Darkspawn it spanned the entire continent of Thedas...so using the excuse of "I'm on the other end of Ferelden" isn't really valid.

Besides...shes a mom...and moms are always concerned for their children...even more so if they won't be around...because in case you forgot she herself was suppose to leave as well. Unless of course you have an utter failure of a mother like the one you think is better for some ungodly reason.

And sometimes they use an actor who played a minor role to play a bigger part that's nothing like what they've played before.

And yes, I love my mother. That's not a bad thing.

1.Out of the 1 time we talked to her preinvasion, that's too much.

2.Actually being the tyrne if the dark spawn got to close i'm pretty sure you could take a boat considering Highever is near the sea.

She's not badass in combat but she does bake poisons and cake.
