She could be very different from the cousland mom I can see how her haveing the same voice actor makes it hard though.
the "family dynamic" which Bioware keeps mentioning is what worries me about her overly assertive motherhood.
I know my mom is my mom, i don't need her saying "Omg my pretty son, i love you so much" before i take my trip to the john.
What evidence do you have that she will be like this? Also, there's a bathroom in the game? Is it like the one on the Normandy that I didn't find until my third playthrough?
Man, you have no idea how much it bugged me that I didn't find that stupid bathroom in like..I think it was my fourth or fifth that I saw it in somebody's youtube video and I freaked out...stupid private bathroom..

Anyway, I think the OP is taking the negative a bit far on the family interaction. I felt kind of bad that the noble character had his family butchered right out from under him in the first 15 minutes of the game; actually having your family with you is, for me anyway, a nice change. I like a human side to my heroes rather than the orphan with not a care in the world. One of my favorite parts of NWN 2 is finding out that Daeghun is out looking for you after the battle with the...what was his name? Shadowbroker? Ah! King of Shadows..sorry. Sometimes the simple human connection of a family member in a game can really make the story hit home. So, no, I'm looking forward to having Hawke's mom along.
