Last time I checked, I was able to buy M rated games last year. I turned 17 in 2010, after all. So I was excited to finally NOT LIE about my age to get into the website of a game I'm going to play. It was bound to be exciting and full of empowerment for my youthful self.

Funny thing is, I'm now pretty much permanently locked out of the site on this computer now. Just wondering when I can start really getting onto websites for games with my real birth date.

Also can't wait for this game. Like everyone else I'm slightly... interested in all the changes their going to make, but I think by not doing the same thing again they are taking a step in the right direction. Just to, you know, start a discussion that isn't about me...

You can also try to enter the site in another browser.

Clear out your cookies.

And if a website you want to get to asks how old you are, always say you're 21 or older.

No one actually cares about those.

They are for legal reasons only, and you are one of the few people that I have ever seen take them seriously.

It's not forbidden to be 100 years or older.

You have to be 18 to play an m

I am 29 and have a compulsion to tell the truth when entering my date of birth even though it would be easier to lie as I would not have to scroll down so far lol

I am old enough but I never use my real age. Too much effort involved. So I pick the 1st january of the first year that is old enough to watch. *clickclickclick*. This kind of adult check is about the most ridiculous thing anyway.

Well it stopped the OP, but that's rather the exception. Image IPB

How about not circumventing the age restriction of websites...that are in place for a reason.

it will make you a better person and you'll pass on this respectfull attribute to future generations of your family.

Take no notice of the stupid immoral people that are encouraging you otherwise...these are the very people that would go into a store and purchase ciggies and alcohol for the underaged

Yeah, just gotta clear your cookies, but I do believe the age limit to get to the site is 18.

If you're not 18, you should probably NOT LIE.

But I understand where you're coming from. I was 17 2 years ago and I felt empowered too.

But wait till you hit 18 and 19. At 19, you can drink anywhere you want in Canada!

Too bad I'm in the US. Grr.........

Still waiting on my invite to Bioware Edmonton.

Yes because saying you're one year older than you really are on a game site is the same as buying harmful drugs for children. Image IPB

Your slippery slope strawman argument fails.

Yep, all people who cheat with their real age end as drug dealers and eventually in jail.Image IPB

I'm almost 20 but I've been lying to these sites and buying M rated games through friends for at least 7 years so... That's my advice to you, but mind being responsible and do not try to punch a hooker like in a certain M game.

TEEHEE.

I was hoping someone would catch that and deliver my point.
