woot, walking bomb was great when combined with Melee. Set it up, and go to town, letting the enemy think you were free game to gang up on, then. . . BOOM, they all fall down. OuO

Does this mean that no Boss (or enemy) are Immune to any attacks? (exept Elemental.)

Specific creatures can be immune to specific things.

peter mentioned enemies will never use player skills on u. That said, enemy mages will be using different spells? Like say inferno from origins? I apologise if i misread the meaning of the statement.

Hey guys, I've updated the talents with new information, if anyone can get a more reliable source on Pinning Shot upgrade it'll be great.

Also, I have a question for Peter, can enemy use stagger, disorient, brittle effects on PC and companions? Also, when on nightmare difficulty, will area of effect talents that apply those conditions apply them on friendly targets under friendly fire?

Arcane skill tree is all about defense? That's kinda lame...

I'm planning on heavily investing in it.  I like the idea of a defensive/support Mage, and envision the Arcane tree being integral to my survival on Nightmare.  Time will tell, of course, whether or not that's a sound idea.  Still, I see nothing wrong with entire skill trees devoted to defense, provided the skills are exciting, diverse, and balanced.

plus arcane has crushing prison and its upgrade both of which seem pretty damn powerful.

I didnt get what peter meant by FF in regards to tempest.

FF = Friendly Fire. He meant (I think) that Tempest and Chain Lightning don't target party members, only enemies, and thus are safe 'friendly fire' spells. Friendly Fire, of course meaning you hurting your 'friends' with 'fire' its not really friendly.

Yah that's why I'm wondering if we hit our teammates with a talent that applies status effect (stagger, disorient, etc), are they going to be applied on our teammates as well?

Thats a good question. Also naikita, I believe scythe is 30 stamina to use (not listed in your guide)

Yeah no idea Naikita, good question for sure (and the FF was to that one guy who was confused). I hope not but my current first playthrough I think will involve all ranged except my warrior. Who will be Warmongering his way into giant hoards of monsters for massive dmg bonuses. Specifically to avoid that kinda thing (well and damaging). I believe just basic auto-attack even hurts your own party for warriors which...if true, youch. If its not definitely gives me more wiggle room and I'll go with Isabella, may anyways.

Enemy abiltiies don't cause CCC effects, but friendly fire can.

Edit: Hm... actually it's a bit more complex and I'd need to check scripting. Things that have a chance of causing a CCC shouldn't, but ones that always do, should. Off the top of my head I don't know how many fall into the second category and would need to confirm anyway.

While you're still around Peter could you tell us how the damage is calculated for talents?

Is it like (Base talent damage + base class damage + weapon damage)? or what exactly? considering that weapon damage and base class damage will change every now and then.

So if a warrior casts tremor in order to knock back a horde of enemies, and your party happens to be inside the radius, your own party is knocked back as well?

Edit: Didnt know CCC meant cross class combos. So you are referring to Brittle, Disorient, and Stagger. So Im assuming knockbacks and knockdowns and stuns actually do hit your own teamates in nightmare?

That's normal FF you're talking about, I guess Peter was talking about effects like Brittle, Disorient and Stagger.

Knockback, Knockdown and so on should be applied normally.

Hard and Nightmare most likely, but not in Normal and Casual for sure ( can see in the videos). But then, being knocked back isn't one of the 3 combo states (Stagger, Disorient and Brittle). No idea what CCC stands for though...really curious now on that. Guessing its in reference to the 3 debuffs classes can cause.

thanks adhin.

Im still torn between my first playthrough. Usually i go mages ESPECIALLY coz the primal school is so awesome and shaman/druid like and i love earth and lightning spells.

However i like Reavers and the sword and shield looks sweet in da2. Really impressed.

What is these upgrades? Do you have to buy them or are the they avaiable with a level up?

You have to spend points to buy them. You can choose to get them for skills you want to specialize in, or skip the upgrade and create a more general purpose character.

Good job, thanks for the info.

Anybody knows about skill tree? (for example: coercion, survival, herbalism etc.)
