Well these certainly blow the Origins skills out of the water. I had hoped to make a sword + sheild warrior that can also deal some damage and it looks like it will be perfectly possible.

I am also loving the Rogue's Sabotage tree. That kind of dirty fighting always appealed to me.

All in all it seems very good looking, the only thing I noticed is that some talents are really powerful. Immunty to critical hits is big, as is 40% elemental resistance or instantly killing 'weaker' enemies. I am guessing that talents will be even more important to use than in Origins.

TGS stands for Tokyo Game Show the last time I checked. What event is this about?

Let me add my voice to the chorus of thanks, good job on this post.

But, man, Bioware, combo points? For rogues? I know it is just one skill and one "finishing" move, but come on...

Taipei Game Show, it's in the annoucement section awhile back when Bioware said there'd be playable demo here.

Well, if you saw the demo footage, even basic enemies seemed to take very little damage from autoattacking (those hurlocks backing up the ogre took forever to die). I suspect we're going to use talents a lot if we want to bring the hurt to the battlefield.

This is awesome. Wow.

Now just for the mage skills, and I might be sold - the 2H warrior is looking extremely interesting, along with the possibilities for *gasp* a warrior with 60% elemental resistances... Crazy....

Yeah they do seem pretty over powered. But I think all enemy's are super powerful to compensate. 40% Elemental resistance in Origins terms are great. But remember Fireball in DA2 does like 650 damage. So itl still do like 400 damage to you.  Stats, and percentages must be through the roof with this game.

Christ those trees look amazing. And here I thought I couldn't get more hyped for March 8th.

Can't wait to see the ridiculousness of the Mage tree.

Also, the specializations! Damn I am going to spend a lot of time staring at these screens to build my first character.

This^ I've been waiting like since I first signed up to this forum to make my new Mage build. The day is finally here for me.

Thanks for posting. I usually play a mage but I think with all the differing talent trees I may have to start off as a rogue

To me, that 'kill weaker enemies effect' sounds like all enemies won't be scaled to our level, just like in Origins. Good news if that's the case. I.e., there'll be level scaling to a certain degree, but they're capped.

Edit: btw, when looking at these skill trees, one curious thing is didn't the warrior skill trees on the website have 11 talents each? or did I just count wrong? ;) Because they have 10 each here, not that it matters though.

Choosing Talents for rogues is going to pretty hard.. They said that the highest we'll get to in DA2 is lv 25, and with so many choices... Wow.. Atleast there will be a lot more unique builds this time around.

Ooh, very interesting, thank you for this. I love how rogues and warriors both now have different 'schools' of fighting, much like the mages.

i wonder how much synergy can be achieved if you had all trees completed...

i'll leave that out for later playthroughs for me to try some exploits and see for myself (i play it on console, i don't have the luxury of console commands found on pc)

There could be some glitches to max out skills (like the copying Tome in DAO)
