I was referring to the Vanguard-class from Mass Effect and their awesome ability Charge ;).

Edit: I should stop posting in one-liners.

My head hurts from trying to put a build together. And to think, this is without specializations...

I just realized that the cone of fire spell isn't in. I assumed it was since we saw it in the Destiny trailer. And I thought I saw it again in the Champion one.

I can't say that I'm thrilled that they've level gated the spells.

The spells look great though so I'll try out my first build and see what I can come up with.

It's there. Check out the elemental tree, first one in the mage section.

Well, I got my builds more or less planned, then...

Warrior - maximize the 2-hander tree, nick the +40% elemental resistance sustainable thingie, leave rest for specialization (9 pts,, roughly)

Mage - maximized Winter grasp and Cone of Cold (4 pts), Despair, Coma and Death Hex (6pts), leaving 10 pts for a specialization.. That covers damage, cc and effects quite well, I think.

how so? it's a passive ability that kills any weak enemies at 20% with one hit and lieutenant enemies with at 10% with one hit.

for a balanced/defensive warrior, that could help a lot.

I'm liking the look of these spell trees! And crushing prison is back, I approve. I don't see a mana clash option this time.
The entropy tree looks good too.

Mana Clash was really really broken. :D It made some enemies (bosses, even) a walk in the park (provided they didn't resist it which, depending on your spellpower, was very often). Combined with the fact that it was an AoE, yeah, I can totally see why they ditched it this time around. ;)

And I just noticed Two-Handed Tree works really well with the Primal Tree (Petrify and all that). Now I only have to hope that me and Carver get along, and I'll be set for the whole game! B)

I checked and rechecked.  I see Fireball and Firestorm only.

How many times can we add points into skills? each lvl up?

Yeah, you get 1 point per levelup.. So far, that seems to be it - there certainly are no +skillpoint tomes this time round in DLCs, so I'd guess those are out.. Roughly, you are aiming at about 20 levels or so, so that's 20 points to go around during the game.

From the gameplay we've seen, you get a few points every level-up.

You get three stat points and one talent.  Same as DAO.

Hmm, that makes picking a build a lot harder (which is a good thing imo).
I'm really having a tough time thinking of a mage build right now, and I don't even know the skills of the specialisation yet.

Btw, I know Force and (most probably) Blood magic are 2 mage specialisations. But does anyone know the third one?

I've been told that developers have said you should not rely on your mage for healing.

So heresay, but it would seem that way.

Spirit healer.
