I was thinking of including the whole list of characters/companions on a larger line-up eventually.

I'm glad ya likin' how merril and Anders came out.. I was really having fun playing around with font styles on Merril's pic too. !

Your line up looks neat, though your rogue looks a little odd to me. Seems everyone else has a common focus in what they're viewing, but your Hawke is...daydreaming? lol, I'm not sure what to call it. Your art of course, but maybe it'd look a little less off to me if he was on the right side, with Varric between him and Aveline (flipped too, so his Bianca is not under the shield, plus he's right handed in game too ). Don't know, I've always gotten to bogged down by trying to be too perfect so I never learned the techniques in art. =(

Aveline and Merril are perfect though, de facto! Varric is fine too, just the awesome looking Hawke, looking off elsewhere that's bugging me.

Oh yep.. Hawkewas the very first random sketch I had .. and I just colored him up and posted.. the rest of the idea for actually MAKINGH them lined up as a group came along after I posted this.

The entire Idea is just an excercise for me.. I try to make sure that NONE of the individual characters I'm sketching are taking me more than 1.5 hours to complete even with color. ( helps me from tryin to perfect it. I do all that perfection stuff at work. ) Keeping a fun feel.

but worry not... Hawke will have someone to look at soon enuff once the rest of the characters are set up in there..

Male Hawke and female Hawke will essentially be in the middle of the landscape canvas.

I haven't Quite figured out yet.. which class to play FemHawke.. hmmn.. mayhaps I shall play DEMO to see !

Off topic: i actually have had a tattoo of my initial on my arm in that Asian style of lettering for 8 years now, just saying cause it looks kewl.

hehe ! I take no offense at all.. I am totally aware that art is subjective and my style is something that one either gets or it isn't for them.. he asked a valid question. its my piece of darkspawn ooze..

I totally feel ya on the forums thing tho.. its been heavy on teh Troll or rant..
as a fan , I've not found much to gruipe about on the upcoming DA2 .. in fact I'm really looking forward to it.
I don't voice my opinions too often unless i totally feel i have to , so .. I just put up fun stuff that keeps me busy while i wait for launch and try to share some entertainment here with my little wallpaper project !

I've actually been tryin to work on a design for the rest of my arm tattoo and I was playin with the idea of a whole page from Sun Tzu's art of war written in chinese .. but it may be more fun to actually be able to read if done in this asian font style.. hmmn..

Yes in fact I am ! 
 ( the Merrill bg is actually a screen cap of the Brecillican forest from the DA:O game which i manipulated in photoshop. ) 

( Isabella's ship is a ship model from an older game with pirates.. lol ! )

I really got into it after I did the Merril pic..  normally I didn't want to overly focus on a finished composition since the original sketch  ( rogue Hawke ) was just that.. a sketch that I decided to color in photoshop. But now.. it actually feels FUN to do artwork that's not work related!  ( I freelance as an illustrator/concept artist )

It's becoming alot of fun to do something that doesn't require the approval of an art director for a change.. and I can do it at my leisure ( sp?? )

Nice art, I like the break between manga and disney toon feel. Sets apart from anything I've seen so far for DA2
Any chance you're on deviantart? Couldnt find you.
I gotta ask, are you doing it traditional media wise or mixed (photoshopped)? It looks like pencil-ing-PS colouring but I'm not sure

I wish it could be viewed in bigger resolution though :/

I sketch it really fast and loose with a pencil.. or even a 0.1- 0.3 micron pen... then I color in Photoshop CS3.

I wish it could be viewed in bigger resolution though :/

to see a bigger resolution to the art on here.. right click the image.. click : PROPERTIES   , then copy the URL.., then go to the URL.. you'll be able to see it in full size at 150 DPI.. hope that helps !
